( another week, another palace- and far be it from us to deny tradition. through bickering, wandering and other shenanigans, the group from argenti's palace will find themselves at an agreeable izakaya- not entirely meals, and they definitely have to make an argument for the younger teens, thank you izou, but the atmosphere is light and more importantly, this bad boy can fit so many customers at one group table. it was a hard battle- so now it's time to rest hard, too.

( of course, she is here tucked away with a melon soda, probably sitting near izou and celeste. to others who may not be familiar, she explains: )

The dishes are meant to be shared, so when they're delivered, take a bit for your own plate and then pass it along.

[Fray is mostly here to keep an eye on Argenti and make sure he doesn't push himself too hard. Not that he thinks the others would let him, but more because he wants to be here for his knight in shining armor. Of course, since we're getting food, he hasn't put his helmet back on, but he seems particularly twitchy without it. This might be because his ears give clear indication of whatever he's feeling at any given moment, and he's mostly feeling embarrassed after everything that happened today. It's not very common for him to be in the middle of everyone hanging out during get-togethers like this either, so that probably isn't helping. Usually he just sticks around on the side for a little while before leaving...

But here he is anyway. You can find him staring at the menu while being deeply confused (he doesn't know what most of this is... help, he hasn't been to Doma yet), or picking at the food once it's ordered, or just sitting there watching everyone else. He's quiet now that he's gotten all of his yapping at Argenti over with; content to watch everyone else have a good time, as usual.]

[ Going out somewhere he can't drink because this world has a ridiculous drinking age, ughhhh. The late night breakfast joint had been fine. It didn't serve alcohol, but here? Now he's got to watch all the other adults drink while he's stuck with this, what? Pineapple soda? Okay, it's pretty good, but c'mon?!

Eli's oddly quiet this time around. Hell, he's even seated next to Celeste, so you'd think he'd be in a better mood, but... Oh well. Mostly, he focuses on not scarfing down whole plates of the food they're all getting.

He's getting the beef kushiyaki, which are beef skewers. He's also ordering tempura pumpkin, chicken karaage, and crispy fried pork gyoza.

He will only take one piece of each and pass it on, honest. ]

[Izou is in high spirits now for all the mental torment he suffered in the palace along with various injuries including Sayaka's stabbing and his well timed concussion. Nothing to worry about thanks to healing magic (probably).

In any case he's in his element in the Izakaya, having ordered multiple plates of karaage for the table, along with yakisoba and a plate of edamame, though it's clear Izou is mostly here to drink. Unlike his somewhat notorious drunk post, this time the alcohol seems to have only increased his high spirits.]

Hey, hey, drink up! We gotta celebrate properly!

[Too young to drink according to Sunset City? Izou will sneak you a drink anyway if you ask.]

[For once in an afterpalace, Celeste will be ordering food like a normal human person! Wow! Never mind that he passes things along immediately whenever they get delivered, or that things that end up on his plate end up on Eli's moments later. It's fine. Surely nothing to worry about.

For his own part, he's having a great time, just. Pleasantly observing everyone. That's really the best part of these afterpalaces, honestly.]

[ McGillis did not want to come. In fact, he'd been halfway through leaving when Argenti called out to him and restated his invitation to the Izakaya explicitly instead of just implicitly. Despite himself, even McGillis felt that it would be a dick move to deny him in these circumstances... so now he's here.

Biding his time until it's socially acceptable to leave again.

He's glad to have Argenti back but there is only so much friendship talk he can take before feeling odd, especially in his current mid-death crisis mental state.

Through the evening, he's pretty quiet but not impolite. Just kind of trying to not stick out despite his size. He's sipping on sake and not eating much, both because he doesn't love eating in front of people to begin with and because eating with his shaky right hand and his non dominant left hand is pretty awkward still. ]

[ Falin isn't necessarily paying attention to anyone - she's a little tired but that is overshadowed by the pure excitement she feels about trying new foods. She claps her hands together as she looks over the menu, wondering what she should try first. ]

I haven't seen anything like these foods before, I wonder what I should get...

[ She says it outloud, but it's clear she's not thinking about those around here...maybe help her? ]

[ Argenti is here as well. He allows the choice of venue to be wherever because he is not a restaurant go-er by any stretch of the imagination and due to his experiences he doesn't exactly have a preference other than 'crunchy bread' which helps no one. But, he is happy to see familiar faces here.

He has managed to get some rest, but for the most part he will be remaining seated, as is normal at restaurants (though at the last he stood a lot, including on a table, it's fine...) He is not Superman, after all, so he's bound to have remaining weakness in his legs. But, even so...when he sees someone approach, the Knight grants the other a gentle, warm smile. ]

Quite the innovative place, isn't it? Have you had a chance to try the food?

Oh, and how are you feeling?

[ Also, when he thinks no one is looking, he will shakily rise to his feet to talk to one of the heads of the establishment to take care of the bill. Argenti feels it is what he should do, in light of what's happened. ]
