( another week, another palace- and far be it from us to deny tradition. through bickering, wandering and other shenanigans, the group from argenti's palace will find themselves at an agreeable izakaya- not entirely meals, and they definitely have to make an argument for the younger teens, thank you izou, but the atmosphere is light and more importantly, this bad boy can fit so many customers at one group table. it was a hard battle- so now it's time to rest hard, too.

[For once in an afterpalace, Celeste will be ordering food like a normal human person! Wow! Never mind that he passes things along immediately whenever they get delivered, or that things that end up on his plate end up on Eli's moments later. It's fine. Surely nothing to worry about.

For his own part, he's having a great time, just. Pleasantly observing everyone. That's really the best part of these afterpalaces, honestly.]

I certainly am. I confess, I have never been to a restaurant like this before, and yet...I find that it matters little.

Though, if I am being honest, I do expect at some point to find this may in fact be some kind of dream.

Yes, I do firmly believe that it is so. I am already counting my blessings that I am finding myself in the midst of those as well.

[ Argenti is one of those not from modern real-world settings...and he does not frequent these types of places himself either. Maybe hyper-futuristic settings do not always have such places in sight but he is also not a person who comes to restaurants so often. ]

...I do not know what it is like not to ever have the ability to dream once again, though I do thank you for your offering of sincere words of comfort. If I had any worries on the matter, they feel less substantial. [ Truly! Though his face colors about the comment about awakening with his dearest. ] It does also help that this world is nothing like Penacony.

Truthfully I lost the ability before I was regularly well-rested enough to miss it. [...And now when he's able to, here, look at all the chaos. Dream-Memshares. Clearly dreams are overrated.] But I'm glad to have provided some reassurance. [Don't think he doesn't see that blush, though!] I take it this Penacony isn't somewhere you care to return to.

I can only imagine that the road is bound to still be a bit thorny yet, but I shall pray fervently to the Goddess that there are none indeed for quite awhile.

[ Dear Idrila...The God of Conflict is already on a course to being wiped out as it is, as far as Argenti is concerned - which, well, he doesn't care what Braphine says about gods. He knows they can be destroyed; so if that piece of ugly scum lays a single finger on Fray...he better start to pick a god and pray himself.

...Honestly if the God of Conflict tries anything with any other one of this crew, Argenti is going to be incandescent. ]

But, well, Penacony isn't exactly a terrible world, though it is a place where one wanders through it in their dreams. There was an incident there not that long ago, and quite a many gathering of individuals were caught up in it. Myself included.

Such that people were entrapped in dreams, unable to leave them... of their "ideal". Whatever that may happen to be. I can be certain that even if it were resolved, and the issues you all faced were nothing like that, none of this would be a mere fantasy. Or be in danger of as such.

[Oh, he's been caught. Not that he's been all that secretive about not engaging with the feasts, of course, but... she's the first to comment on the fact that he still shows up to them anyway. And she's right on the money, too.]

[That pause to see if she gets flustered makes her laugh a little. It's not getting flustered, but that leaves no room for doubt she rather appreciated that!]

I must admit, that is a rather...sweet attitude to have. Perhaps unexpected, too.

It is more personable than I thought most here would be. While bonding might happen, being ordered by some higher entity to do so only gets someone to dig their heels and refuse to play along.

...but I would dare say you did not -- although it might be less because you wish to play along, and more because you have judged there is something worth it in the people around you.

[Celeste seems to be willing to make bonds with others, but not because Braphine wanted it to happen, but because Celeste wanted it, after seeing who he's with. That's better, really. More genuine, too]
