( another week, another palace- and far be it from us to deny tradition. through bickering, wandering and other shenanigans, the group from argenti's palace will find themselves at an agreeable izakaya- not entirely meals, and they definitely have to make an argument for the younger teens, thank you izou, but the atmosphere is light and more importantly, this bad boy can fit so many customers at one group table. it was a hard battle- so now it's time to rest hard, too.

[ Falin isn't necessarily paying attention to anyone - she's a little tired but that is overshadowed by the pure excitement she feels about trying new foods. She claps her hands together as she looks over the menu, wondering what she should try first. ]

I haven't seen anything like these foods before, I wonder what I should get...

[ She says it outloud, but it's clear she's not thinking about those around here...maybe help her? ]

Oh, these are dishes native to my home country. Let me-

[ Falin blushes only slightly because she was surprised someone heard her but then smiled warmly to the other. ]

Mafuyu, correct? Please! I would be happy for some help!

Mm. Everything is to share as a group, so you can try multiple things. What's caught your eye so far?

Uhm...What about the edamame and yakisoba! Oh! And the karage! And a beer!

Edamame is soy beans. You suck them out of the salted pod, and it's a good appetizer, especially before a drink, I hear... yakisoba is a noodle dish with pork or chicken and some vegetables. It's stir fried, and has a lot of good texture. Karage is fried chicken, and very crunchy. ...

I'm too young for beer.

I'm going to get all of it!! [ She's a hungry girl. Ordering the food (and the beer for herself), she smiled to Mafuyu. ]

[ Argenti says simply, even if he too has no idea what he's looking at here.

But, he's happy to see that Falin has come along. She's a friendly and familiar face...so the fact that she can enjoy herself with others that he knows of as well is more than wonderful. ]

Argenti! [ Oh it's hug time. Falin gets up and hugs him tight, almost wanting to lift him off the ground. ]

I'm so glad you're alright!

[ When Falin goes in for a hug, Argenti reaches out to return it, arms wrapping softly and gently around her.

His movements are still a little slow, but it doesn't hurt in the slightest, and it is comforting, to be brought into an embrace by a dear companion. ]

Falin...yes, I did not get a chance to say it, but it is good to see you once more, and in wonderful spirits as well.

I hope I did not cause you too much trouble.

I am glad you are back, I don't care about any trouble you may or may not have caused. [ She pulls back as she smiled warmly to him. ]

You were hurting so much, I think a little trouble is worth it to help you.

[ She is such a kind person. Truly...that is why Argenti has no trouble believing her words; not that he has had trouble when others have shown him such kindness, though he notes it nonetheless. ]

...Thank you. It is strange for me to admit that I was hurting at all, but I suppose that I am only human.

[ He says gently, albeit quietly for a moment. But he then manages another smile. ]

I hope you have been able to enjoy the atmosphere of this place as well. I do not oft frequent establishments such as these, but we all seem to have settled nicely into it just fine, yes?

We have! Plus, we are all celebrating you coming back, which is the most important part of being here. [ Falin went back to her seat, sipping her beer. ]

It's okay to hurt, by the way. Sometimes we've experienced things that we don't want to talk about, sure, but it's even more important to lean on your friends during the times that you are hurting! You're not alone!

[ She wanted to make sure she nailed it home for the other - just knowing how that hurt could affect him worried her. ]

Depends. How adventurous are you? Everything here tastes better than those vines.

I'm adventurous when it comes to a lot of things! But food definitely! [ She's already drinking a beer. ]

[ That smile is so happy... Maika will take her at her word, then. ]

Chicken skin for texture, hearts if you're not squeamish. Those ones are raw fish. That section's pickled things, they balance out the fried food.

I'm definitely not squeamish! I'll try anything. I think it comes from being around my brother...or being part dragon.

Either way, I'm ready to try anything!


[ Falin don't say such things so casually. ]

[ No, no, she should definitely say things like that! Maika actually flashes a quick grin before flagging the waiter to pick an assortment of recommendations.

Even if the other people can't eat this stuff? She's pretty sure between her and a dragon, they can manage. ]

Shapeshifter? Or are you "part dragon" like I'm "part wolf"? I didn't think we'd be almost even numbers with the humans here.

Oh, nothing like shapeshifting. [ Though to a Touden that would be the coolest superpower one could have. ]

Due to a complicated series of spells, I was combined with a dragon and made a chimera. I have some remnants of that... [ Falin pulls up her sleeve, revealing downy feathers on her upper forearm. ]

As well as my magic at home being different. The dragon that you see as my persona, that's the dragon I was combined with.

[ Falin smiles brightly and takes a piece, immediately popping it into her mouth. She grins as she finishes chewing. ]

How wonderful! I always love to learn about different places and what kind of food they have...amongst other things of course.

[ Falin blushed a little bit because she didn't want it to seem rude or ill mannered. ]

Food is a good way to bond with others. I for one am glad you embrace it as a way to learn about other places -- you are doing well.

It's how you can learn about others whether they make the food or are enjoying it with you! Food connects us in so many ways!
