( another week, another palace- and far be it from us to deny tradition. through bickering, wandering and other shenanigans, the group from argenti's palace will find themselves at an agreeable izakaya- not entirely meals, and they definitely have to make an argument for the younger teens, thank you izou, but the atmosphere is light and more importantly, this bad boy can fit so many customers at one group table. it was a hard battle- so now it's time to rest hard, too.

Certainly not. [ Argenti is sincerely happy that people here are treating him well and not adversely. ] Though...how do you feel about it?

[ He ventures, partially because he has been wondering, truly. And because of the way those ears do seem to mark a trace towards nothing that is exactly so certain on his decision.

Of course, he is happy the other man has revealed his face, and that he can see it. But, Argenti imagines for someone who is used to obscuring it so often, it must be kind of at least some level of odd, to say the least. ]

[He glances away again, though this time he's checking if there's anyone close enough to overhear him. We're not too close, so it should be fine.]

My appearance is that of V'rhas's. In a way, it feels as though I've simply stolen what is his.

[So his relationship with his own appearance is Complicated. Normal Fray things!

But that is a good question, and he nods, content to answer it.]

We are called Miqo'te. There are two clans - I am of the Seekers of the Sun. Our kindred are the Keepers of the Moon, who are nocturnal and prefer to keep their distance from most. We Seekers are a bit more outgoing, generally.

[Though he talks about this as though he's a Miqo'te despite the fact that V'rhas is...?? Listen. It's Complicated.]

[ Oh. Now he feels silly - which shows on the sheepish expression that he grants Fray.

I can see why it would be a complex situation. Though, of course to me...you shall always be your own person.

But, if you ever would like help in styling your hair differently at times, I would gladly lend you some tricks.

[ Even with short hair, there can be things done with it. Including growing it out, adding braids, or the like. Also, that's interesting in its complexity, but also to Argenti the fact he considers himself also truly a part of such a clan, rather than an imposter or something is good. He will embrace this wholeheartedly and with relish. ]

...Outgoing, hm? Yes, I can see remnants of that in you, not perhaps in the most boisterous of ways, but you are always willing to lend a hand to others without hesitation.

[Oh, that's really sweet... V'rhas's hair is longer in the back, so there's a bit to work with there (it's currently tied in a little braided rattail) and without the headband or earrings, he does look a little different, but...]

[Changing V'rhas's appearance in some ways to better suit Fray... It could work. Or at least make the identity issues a little less thorny.]

Indeed. I suppose I've gained that much from V'rhas, as I wasn't nearly this eager to fling myself into danger for others back home.

[He says it with a rueful smile; he's accepted that he's kind of a big dumb protagonist at heart, just like his other self is.]

[ Argenti makes it a goal of his, then! Project: Fray New Variation in Hairstyles. Already he is thinking of some and more. ]

I will start experimenting with some hairstyles for you, then. The first I thought of immediately were some extra braids; though of course we'd have to go over the different kinds that'd work with your hair.

But I am certain the end result shall be fittingly resplendent for you.

[ Maybe a different kind of hair ornament too (gothically suitable), but he'll have to think on that a bit harder. ]

...At the least it allows others to know that they're able to count on you despite the dangers and rigors of battle.

In addition, even if I know you do it not for other people to recognize you, I imagine it would help in bonding with others as well.

I have found a great many people I would like to protect here. I think... I forgot about that back home. I was so focused on other things - on saving V'rhas from being used - that I forgot why he's so eager to put himself in danger. It's for people like all of you, the ones he's grown to care about.

[An important lesson, and one he hadn't had the opportunity to really understand back home. Good thing he was brought here!!]

[ Fray is SO going to be looking so banging (and meowst certainly cute) that even Idrila would gasp at seeing his face. ]

The singular drive can be certainly all-consuming at times, I know that well enough - I imagine that to protect someone so integral to you can also take quite a lot out of your respective time and ability to devote your cause or feelings elsewhere. Though, it's a blessing to know that you too have found yourself able to expand your horizons in that regard.

And that you have embraced it all the while.

I do not doubt that you will. You have never struck me as someone less than a hard worker, who looks out for others, and I doubt that will ever change. Though, it makes me happy to hear you voice that you shall pay such kindness and consideration to those here as well.

I have also begun to become quite a bit used to the luxurious nature of restaurant food ever since going on these group outings...I hope I do not become too spoiled.

Gatherings like this are... quite nice. I hadn't realized how much I'd enjoy them.

I am not so certain...there is always the danger.

I was already thinking about asking for us to have an opportunity to go someplace on a date. After of course I get more rest, but there are these wonderfully peaceful areas on the outskirts of the island...they are most certainly beautiful. Splendid to have a small picnic too.
