[ the winds howl, the sea roars, and the lighthouse sinks down into the ocean, layer by layer. by the time everyone gets out of the lighthouse and makes their way down to the ground floor of the lighthouse, where the scattered relics are, there's water up to their ankles.
the door is just there, the exit just within reach--
and lightning strikes the lighthouse.
it's enough to trigger a total collapse of the second floor and the stairs, one that everyone will have to book it to make it to the exit if they don't want to be crushed by falling debris.
passing through the exit causes everyone to be momentarily blinded by a bright light.
when they recover, all characters will realise that they are all back in the real world, in the courtyard of Braphine's Temple. ]
[Frankly, even attempting to breathe is painful, so Jordi barely does it. But he also knows he shouldn't be alive right now, so perhaps there's some lingering unknown magic in his system that's keeping him somewhat functioning.
"Somewhat". If only those at Rhodes Island could be here... well, he doubts even Miss Shining could do anything for him.
At least he's himself right now, his scales back to normal and his blood red-- even if most of it is outside of his body right now. The wounds his Shadow sustained remain however, the slashes from Fray and Aaron, the blotchy mess on his chest from Soujuurou, the long, red weals from Celeste, even the shredded skin from his hands from fighting so much with unfamiliar weapons, and more. With the final addition from the God of Conflict, he is not a pretty picture. The only reprieve he gets is that his wounds are closed. Visible, but closed.
The look he gives Celeste is not one pleading for his life though. Rather, remorse. He feels terrible for what happened inside the lighthouse, what he said and did.]
[ Despite everything, it seems it all has worked out for the better. Though it pains him that a friend is marred so, he is awake and conscious. ]

[ Argenti speaks up immediately, because that is the first thing that comes to mind.
It feels like maybe, everything will be okay. There's still the trying effects it mentally had on the other man to deal with, as well as the others, but that is a path that will be traversed regardless. ]

After gently lying Yoon onto the familiar grass of the temple grounds, Arven collapses to the ground next to him. Not unconscious, but absolutely exhausted.
He leans into Mabosstiff as he blearily looks over to where Celeste has Jordi. So it really was him after all... He feels ashamed for his earlier hesitation.]
... he might need a blood transfusion. We should get him to a hospital and pray that human blood is compatible with him.
[ Answering fact questions is... easier than the rest of all this, now that the immediate haze of battle is gone. McGillis wouldn't be heartbroken about Jordi dying, just by nature of who he is, but that doesn't mean he wants it to happen either.
And he's seen people 'survive' worse (even if irrevocably changed by it), but that was with different medical technology than what is available here. They don't even have healing tanks available. ]
[ Oh...thank goodness. Yoon realizes that today was a bad day to leave his knapsack at home, but he's looking at Jordi - the real Jordi? - in his tired state. ]
[There's a part of Sayaka that's thankful that they managed to get out alive; everything about this situation was so far out of her scope that she's pretty sure she wants nothing more than to cry in her room for several hours after this, though she knows she's going to keep it down so she can at least make everyone dinner. It'll be a distraction, at least, and one she genuinely could use.
But Sayaka looks over, at least, to see Jordi waking up and her eyes soften a bit. She feels guilty, that she tried to talk this man's...other side? A monster born from his heart? She's not sure what it is they just faced, but as always, she's willing to compartmentalize to try and help another.]
[Down, down, down the stairs they go, and the faster the algae is cleared, the faster he runs until long legs are taking steps two, three at a time. He's thanking higher powers he barely believes in for his well practiced sense of balance. He's thanking his sire for taking his life and, as a result, the necessity of breathing, lest the pain of broken ribs make the descent more difficult.

And they're at the temple, Jordi is back to himself and looking at him with remorse, and all energy left in him drains away. His legs give out and he collapses into the grass, but uses the strength he has left to keep holding Jordi securely, tightly.]
[ Oh. It's a familiar look even if this would be the first time she'd be seeing it from Jordi specifically. It is something that is as much a part of her as her blood and bones. Which is why she's finally addressing him for the first time. ]
Mr. Jordi? [ Thank goodness for everyone else who's kept saying his name. ]
[Richard doesn't really know what to say after all of that, nor is there anything he can do to help here in the real world without his ability to access healing.
(He wonders why he's even worrying about this in the first place.)
Still, he finds his feet carrying him over to Jordi's side instead of away, wanting to be sure that the man is still breathing, still alive, because for all that he tries to tell himself that he doesn't care about people, his heart seems to feel otherwise.]
[It's funny that Celeste is trying to reassure him-- that they all are, and that they're all attempting to find ways of helping him to the point of thinking about getting a vampire to bite him. Silly kids, that's not how vampirism works. He feels calm, somehow, despite the guilt and the remorse for pummeling all of them within an inch of their lives. If there's one emotion he's not feeling right now, it's fear. Well, he can't feel pain anymore either, but that's not an emotion, is it?
It's odd, he thinks, that he's surrounded by strangers but also by so much love even if he knows he deserves none of it.
There is, in fact, not much to be done. He's already accepted that-- if he didn't know his own body nor the limits of any Terran body, even an Aegir's, he wouldn't be a nurse. Where is all this calm coming from? Who knows? Perhaps he has just always been this way in dire times. At least he does not have Oripathy, he would have hated to infect all these people.
So he gives Richard one little smile to reassure him. He takes one last shallow breath in Celeste's lap, and stops moving with his eyes half-open.
[He sinks to his knees, reaching out slowly to check for a pulse. It's something he picked up on set, so he hopes that he's doing it wrong and that he's not actually dead.]
