It is a small mercy that Jordi managed to die with some measure of peace, she thinks. If dying was inevitable after everything that transpired, then... Perhaps this is the best that could be hoped for, even if it isn't ideal.
Before McGillis picks up the body, Sunrise approaches and reaches over to close Jordi's eyes with one hand. He deserves this much—and the kids should not have to look death in the eyes any more than they already have now. ]
