Everyone else has the talk no jutsu part covered pretty well and McGillis doesn't think he has much to contribute to that to start with. He thinks being a Knight of Beauty is... not unappealing to observe from the outside or as part of a story, but fundamentally still pretty weird. Validating Argenti's choices might be a bit outside his repertoire right now.
Time to figure out the North road. ]

An old knight is speaking to a certain red-haired boy; the older knight wears brilliant armor while the boy looks like he just crawled through the dirt.
They are positioned around a campfire, their surroundings dark. Occasionally the boy casts his gaze over somewhere in the distance where there are bright lights followed by the telltale sound of explosions, but then he turns his attention back to the older man as he tells speaks the following about a world full of Beauty.
"It was a world bathed in amber, draped in undisturbed stillness, where every being shed tears for the magnificent wonders veiled beneath its surface.
The boy then asks about Idrila, the Goddess of Beauty.
The old man tells the boy that the Aeon is known to be missing, rather than dead as people claim that THEY are, and, as proof of this undying faith, proclaims these very words with great confidence:
"Rumor has it that Idrila, after embarking on a journey spanning numerous cycles of Thirteen Amber Eras, will make a triumphant return to the universe during the elusive thirteenth month."
Then, he asks the boy if he wishes to hear of many more tales. Tales about the Knights of Beauty. Except... ]
2/2 (Un)Friendly Encounter
A clawed hand reaches out of the ground to grab a hold on one of McGillis' legs because he didn't notice anything amiss (9) and Sayaka sure didn't either (7)
The worst thing about it is that it seems to be giving its all to start pulling McGillis underground?! (Roll another 1d20 to try to escape its grip! 11+ for success.)
While this happens, a Demon emerges from nowhere, looking like it is masquerading as a knight. Almost similar in appearance to that Fallen Knight she was speaking to, but something is off in a different way than this one.
Anyway, it lashes out at Sayaka immediately (13) and misses on its follow up attack (2) ]

[Sayaka doesn't notice anything, at first, other than the beautiful, shimmering diamonds on the road. They're distracting, really; absolutely beautiful things that she'd only seen on TV. She'd been tempted to touch one, but...
She notices McGillis and something trying to pull him under, and wants to go help--but then the Demon attacks, and Sayaka feels herself knocked back by the first attack, though she manages to dodge the next. Shoot.]
A-Atropos, please help us--!
[And unfortunately, the Agilao she tries to aim misses (1) in her desperation. Shit, shit--]

[ So. Bad news. McGillis is going to... be pulled underground??? (6)
He is trying to kick the monster hand off, but it's... not going particularly great?? And there is not much to hold onto here with just flowers so... ]

[ Time to summon his Persona and try to hit this claw with a Garula (12). Unfortunately, this leaves Sayaka to fend on her own for now... ]

As for the one attacking Sayaka, it misses horribly (1) because we're having a time of it, folks.
But Sayaka's Agilao ALSO misses (9)...we're at an impasse, it looks like. ]

She's trying her best...honestly, they both are but they're having a hard time, it seems! ]

Okay, time for a sword slash to try to get that thing off of McGillis! (11) He is very mindful of where that giant sword is aiming so as not to give McGillis any more slices. He doesn't need any more. Let's try not to nearly sever McGillis's leg too, okay.]

Meanwhile Sayaka targets the other monster with an Agilao once again, hitting the other monster once more (11), though it's still alive enough to strike at Sayaka once again, hurling a Psio this time (15) ]

[Leave Sayaka alone, damn you!! Fray launches himself at that one next, eyes glowing red as he swings that sword down in an arc, aiming for the monster's head. (20!) No mercy for those who would target her!!!]

Instead it can only take the blow, which is powerful enough to fell it, slicing through it like it is a sheet of paper, given its already been taking some hits from Sayaka anyway.
What a relief to Sayaka and McGillis...
