[From the Russian roulette room, the group walks into a much nicer are than before: a large dining room connected to a kitchen. There is plenty of furniture there: tables, chairs, paintings on the wall, decorative vases, chandeliers, and a plethora of kitchen appliances in the kitchen as well. Plenty of nooks and crannies to hide things, basically.
Here, on one of the tables, is a note:]
Find the cards. Once everyone has a card, the first main game will begin.
[I can't believe he picked right on the first go. Yeah, he finds a card. And as soon as he touches it, he sees a memory that belongs to someone else.]
---
"I'm the Keymaster," Sara declares from across the courtroom, frantically trying to argue for her safety, "If you vote me, then we'll all die!"
You look down to your own card, hidden in your hand. One that bears the name 'COMMONER'. If you let Sara's came go uncontested, then you'll be an easy target. Commoners are the safest vote, and anyone smart would claim a role that should be voted. You can't let this go...if anyone thinks you're a safe vote, you'll be dead.
"No, I'm the Keymaster," You declare in opposition to Sara. Even if it isn't true, casting doubt should keep you alive for a little while longer.
[Nice! There is a Sage card behind the painting! And as soon as she touches it, she will see a memory that belongs to someone else.]
---
Kai Satou stands there, sweating under the pressure. He seems to understand the truth that you and many others have already realized.
"He's the Sage...he's the safest vote, right?"
"We can't be sure that any other claims are true, but his definitely is."
There is no penalty for voting out the Sage, you think to yourself. You have narrowly escaped death this time, but you can see the noose grow tighter and tighter around Kai's neck.
For a moment, you feel bad about it. But then you push that feeling away. This is a game of survival, and regrets won't help you survive.
[She finds the Keymaster card! Once she touches it, she will be hit with memories that belong to someone else.]
---
You rush frantically from one place to another, picking up every card you can. Commoner, Commoner, why do you keep finding Commoners? Where is the Keymaster card?!
Time passes, and it gets close to the end. The trial will happen soon, and all you have are a couple Commoner cards. This isn't ideal, but you will have to work with it. You think on it for a bit, and then you see Q-Taro digging around in the dining room, upturning every chair looking for a card.
"Gosh Darnit, where are they?!"
You have an opportunity, you realize.
You discreetly slip a card, face-down, on the underside of the table. Then you call out to Q-taro: "Hey, I think there's one over here!" After all, you already have a card, so putting on the facade of helpfulness just puts you in good standing with that big oaf.
The thanks you get and the ally you gain is well worth losing the Keymaster card. Power only matters if you have allies to support you.
[Once everyone finds a card, the room shifts around them. Now they are in a room full of podiums, watching a final vote tally tick down. By nearly double, the vote goes to Kai Satou, leaving him trembling in fear.
The head of this game just laughs her shrill laugh before stating the results.]
Kai Satou has been voted out! And as you all thought, he is indeed the Sage. Which just leaves our Sacrifice...
[She turns and looks to Joe, which makes Sara start to panic.]
"No...Not Joe...Please!"
[But the game master just continues on as if she didn't hear Sara.]
Joe Tazuna!
[Joe is sweating, and Sara starts to cry. But the game master continues to talk.]
We'll start with the Sacrifice, and leave our dear Sage as the main show~
[You're about to watch two innocent people die, just because they were unlucky in what cards to get. It feels wrong, you know it's wrong in your heart, but what can you do? You stand there, indecisive. Should you intervene and try to save Joe and Kai, or stay out of it and keep yourself safe?]
[His voice is quiet, like he's trying to find the will to do the right thing.]
No, you can't-
[The game master just sneers at him.]
Kyahahahaha! The little schemer is turning a new leaf? Well, you can certainly take their place if you want to! Maybe then you'll do something good with your useless little life.
[His voice catches in his throat. He...he can't do that...]

He curls his hand over his eye after the memory dissipates... Such a hopeless situation...
But no, he's steadfast in his decision.

Anyway she's just going to start turning over vases to shake them out in hopes of finding a card in one of them (10).]

"Sou" likely didn't intervene out of fear.
[Hum.]
Did anyone else happen to catch a glimpse of a memory when you touched a card?
