This is going to be a closed palace, with the participation limit set at 9-ish! We are going to start at 12pm EST on Sunday and run until 9pm EST, stopping for breaks a few times throughout. If we don't finish Sunday, then we will start again Monday at 5pm EST. You don't have to present for the entirety of the time, but please try to be present for most of it.

This palace will have content warnings for: blood, violence, emotional and mental manipulation, mental breakdowns, cruel and unusual punishments, death, and suicide.

Availability: ALRIGHT so my work hours are a lil wonky for this but I would genuinely love to try to get in; if not though, no worries in the slightest! But I work 11am-6pm Sunday, 5pm-10pm Monday, and 2pm-6pm Tuesday, so if these are dealbreaking times, do not even worry about it. But I am otherwise available from like, any time after I get home from work until about 2-3am and I wake up around 10am usually, so I can be relatively around if you're down!

[The entrance to this palace is rather strange, and somewhat befitting of a shady guy like the one you're looking for. One turn down a familiar path will lead to absolute darkness. Not a speck of light can be seen, and the only difference between the ground and the sky is that you can feel one of them beneath your feet.

You can't even see each other right now, though hearing and touch are still available to locate each other. It's best to group up before continuing on.]

( she can follow the sound of his voice to him, and manages to gently hook her fingers into his sleeve. )

[No light... or no sight? But Shalem can hear, feel, and smell is the thing. Hence, he keeps his cool.]

Everybody stay calm. Hold out your hand or weapon and look for a wall, or someone else to help guide you-- but keep walking still.

[Which he does himself, holding out his sheathed katana to make sure there's nothing in front of him.]

[ He grabs onto her hand and squeezes. ]

[She thinks that's his voice, anyway.]

[ soujuurou is quiet and still. maybe you'll just end up bumping into him? ]

Yep. Hold on a sec.

[ the darkness has to be some kind of palace fuckery, because of course it is. so it takes a moment for joshua to locate his phone, punch in something, and:

there is light.

just a little bit in the form of a bless spell being formed into a pseudo ball of torchlight, just enough to see in front of his feet and aubrey's feet and not much else, but hey, maybe it is enough for now to serve as a homing beacon of sorts? it's not very effective but it is better than nothing. ]

[The small bit of light will reflect off of Joshua and Aubrey's face, providing a small bit of illumination. Those nearby will also be able to see the light, and if they get closer to the pair then they too will be somewhat visible. However, nothing else reflects the light here, not even the ground under their feet. It's like they exist in absolute darkness.

Then, from within the darkness, they will hear a familiar voice:]

Ah. So you came all the way here, did you?

[prozaic]

[What's illuminated, also, is a bit of Shalem's iridescent tail. He's lingering on the edges of the spell, and doesn't move in closer. This is enough for him.]

Hello, Sou. [Soft, cordial. As if they're not all in complete darkness.] Feeling better?

[She's about to thank Joshua, only for that voice to immediately set her on edge instead.]

Sou? Where are you?!

I'm not sure. ... It could be another palace, or a different part of the Nekiya...

[ Rutile doesn't recognize the voice, but he does see the group. So he drifts towards it, and puts himself firmly within the radius of the light... Is this another movie? He's scared. ]
