It's the least hectic area of the city, especially at night.
And yes, the darkness of the area makes it easier to see the sky.

I guess it involves math. But it's mostly looking at the moon's current phase and estimating the time to the next. I've tracked the moon for many months and years, so as long as the moon here is similar to the one back home, it'll be simple.

I watch over forests and other places of nature. Tracking the stars and the moon cycle helps me get around and guess where animals will end up.

[It also helps him know when he's at his most powerful, but that's not important right now.]
