Kirumi Tojo's Palace | The Ultimate Maid's Failures

By now everyone may be used to find themselves in bizarre locations, between going into palaces and visiting Nekyia. It might not come as a surprise that it has happened again.
What might come as a surprise, though...is how empty this place is.
All around you there's nothing more than a large, gray, featureless expanse. In the distance there seem to be bars, curving upwards to gather so, so high above you, possibly hundreds of miles above, so high it’s hard to distinguish.
It’s a cage. So unfathomably large. You could escape, were you to get to the edges of the cage, but...it would take forever. No matter how you look at it, you're trapped. The atmosphere is so...hopeless. Devoid of anything even remotely positive.
Not that you want to hang around for long, do you? After all, this is someone's palace. Not a place to stick around at. What to do, though?
It’s all so...empty. Silent. Featureless. A flat expanse of hard gray tiles.
Gather together, everyone. Gather and choose a direction. North, East, West, South. All directions look completely identical, but could it affect your time in this place, somehow? Probably not. But all treks start with the first step. Perhaps, if you get moving, you'll progress?

Yi Sang makes a good effort, but slips up his grip I guess. ]

Maybe he was invigorated by the kindness or Yi Sang managed to kick off some other reanimated bones about to grab him. He does better this time, way better. ]

By the time Yi Sang is at this spot, three stories above the water, he'll hear the buzzing of machinery coming from the wall nearest to him. Watch out, Yi Sang, sounds like electricity charging up. Good luck when climbing!]

Please just come out of this leg of it with clothing damage or something (he tied his LCB coat around his waist, it definitely wouldnt stay over his shoulders. ]

The walls don't even open up when they unleash the bolt of electricity. It's fired, aiming to fry Yi Sang. The electricity courses right beside him, not striking the target. A stray spark, though, impacts the coat he has tied, leaving a large scorch mark, and a hole.
Truthfully, if Yi Sang gets through the entire thing with only this as his worst damage, I'll be hella impressed.
You're in the third leg, Yi Sang. This one and one more remain. The scorch mark made onto his coat proves to be a potential liability. One of the nearest spider threads, shaken by the character climbing that one, gets entangled on the jagged fabric of that hole. It's threatening to pull from Yi Sang and down to his doom. Watch out when climbing, a failure can be quite dangerous for you!]

Godammit Nick this wasn't the sexy kind of clothing damage.
When his coat gets entangled and he feels that tug pulling him down, there is a that jolt of fear as he holds on tight, barely keeping him from falling to aforementioned doom. Yi Sang lets out a breath of frustration when he calms down, hurriedly untying his coat with one hand and trying to get it free from the entanglement. He can give it up to not put himself or the other climber whose spider string caught onto it at risk. Still though, damn... he started to like his work coat, burnt and tattered as it was already.
He won't be able to move upwards at the moment, doing all that. ]

The coat is a loss...abandoned there...
Did you know Shalem used Mabufula! A lot of ice, to extinguish a fire that was consuming his thread. Unfortunately, all that ice sprinkled around, and some of it fell onto Yi Sang's thread. Pieces of ice slide down towards Yi Sang, slickening the thread, falling onto his head and hair. Any kind of distraction when you're nine stories above ground can be deadly.
How can there be so much ice?! Can you even stop this from happening?]
no subject
Suddenly, all of the ice is blown apart by a rapid fire multispell Mapsio which turns them into harmless bits or gets rid of them entirely so that Yi Sang isn't exactly contending with so much Ice all at once!!
He should be free to go to move upwards or otherwise see an opportunity to move towards another spider thread! ]

My thanks...
[ text ] However, given that Yi Sang's roll is critical rubbish and his thread is now pretty slick up ahead from the ice, he's going to use his personal skill Rain In Motion to hop to a new thread to climb, since the skill has a winged dash in there. Also, the rain and the cold/ice bits will make snow. A considerable amount that'll melt back into water, but it's whatever. We spare Nick from any more of my impulsive shitpost thoughts. ]

Yi Sang can grab the thread, and snow falls down, splattering against any unsuspecting and unlucky people who may still be below. Yi Sang is free to keep going u
Monokuma above, at the edge past the last leg, brandishes leftover tteobokki]
Enjoy!
[I remember what was said about what tteobokki is. It's spicy, isn't it? Monokuma aims straight for Yi Sang's face, intending to smear his face with spice.
This would be painful enough...but given Yi Sang is twelve stories above the bottom of the pit, it's remarkably dangerous. One wrong move byproduct of the distraction of his face stinging all over with spicy rice cake, and he could plummet down to his death.
On the other hand, perhaps that he's resorting to this is a proof of Monokuma's desperation]

Hm. Bad. Yi Sang and his noodle arms are so sick of this hell. And now there's spicy rice cake tossed at him.
I can believe I'm saying a 2 is better than a one but at least none of tteokbokki hits him in the eyes. One or two do hit his face and that's painful and gross even with his spice tolerance. But we're using a fucking Energy Shower to cleanse the super spicy debuff so that this is just a fail roll of (9). He can't progress because he won't open his eyes until that sauce on his face is wiped off.
Alright... What's the last shenanigan. Bring it. This is a DR1/DR2 startup to an execution, how will it end for Yi Sang. ]

Hiyaaaaa!
[And he jumps, holding the coat. He falls, wrapping it around Yi Sang's face, pulling with enough strength to make Yi Sang's upper body bend backwards. How is this stuffed bear heavy enough to do this? Who knows. But he's like a bag of bricks now tied onto Yi Sang's face, pulling from him.
No way you're going to die when you're right at the end, will you?]
1/2
Ah. Of course. A direct attack with the very thing he sacrificed for safety... Smothering him in the face and ready to knock him backwards off the string to a miserable fall into hell. Little did he know, someone also suffered that kind of death. How tragic.
Well, Monokuma?— ]
2/2
—Fucking try him you monochrome heap of edgy garbage from 2010.
Yi Sang doesn't want to die here, thank very much, and he also has his dagger that's within reach. He makes a blind stab at Monokuma behind him in the struggle and with that force and a kick, manages to throw Monokuma off his coat, somehow caught on the spider strand but in a good way.
I've had so many fails I forgot to mention if Yi Sang gets to move. Ahem. Yes he can, thank goodness. He is climbing upwards to the end of this obstacle course and hopes he will never have to do this again. ]

Yi Sang was very well prepared. His dagger plunges into the stuffed bear, Monokuma giving a choked noise of disbelief. He doesn't feel pain...but it still is so weird to have something plunged right onto you. It shocks him, and he lets go Monokuma thrown away.
If only that was the end of the bear...but alas. There's more Monokuma past the final doors Yi Sang will see once he ascends to the edge.
It was a rough time for Yi Sang, but he got to the end. Congratulations!]
