CHAPTER TWO

[ In the midst of your little adventure, there is the sound of footsteps. It can be heard anywhere, no matter where you are, and will lead you toward the west end of the village. Anyone who cares to investigate will see a figure approaching. He is a tall, blond man with bangs that cover his eyes.

You can hear whispers that he carries riches.

He doesn't seem to notice you just yet. Do you approach? And if so, how? ]

[ Schneider somehow missed all of that fighting earlier. Mysterious! But she remembers some of her conversations with Yoon so she follows after the man to observe, wondering where he was going. She's not going to do anything just yet. ]

[ The man seems to be injured and is dragging his feet towards one of the huts. The hut, Sunrise will note, is the one she temporarily stayed in. ]

Hey, you. [Schneider calls out, feeling exasperated. Seriously, what is this mess. She's used to the hunger but the cold is something else she's trying harder to ignore.]

[ if someone climbs the tree to a reasonable height and looks in the direction that the man came from, what could they see? ]

[ Sunrise, in the tried and true method of someone who needs to be catherded at some point, simply approaches the man straightforwardly. ]

But, the man looks at Sunrise and seems to perk up a little. ]

Ah...hello. Are you here to take something from me?

[ ...and honestly even if she did, it would feel lame to take from an injured man. ]

( mafuyu is going to watch for a moment, and try and see who all is here... she really wishes her cardigan or dadcape was here though. at least shes cute. )

[ The cape Ai's borrowed is presumably pretty big on her, large enough to wrap part of it around Mafuyu's shoulders while they have a moment of rest. ]

[ You lead the man to the hut, and...when you arrive, suddenly, there are some things available for you to use, situated right outside:

- An old-fashioned hot pot with broth in it (no flame)
- A few extra ingredients that would go well with said broth
- A handful of medicinal herbs with a mortar and pestle
- A pocket-sized knife

...

When did these things get here, and why do they look out of place?

Either way, the man will go inside and call out for Yoon...but anyone who looks back in to check on him will notice he's vanished.

Now seems to be the time to use those materials you were given, though, eh? And strangely...it is warmer, now. Yay for Shalem? ]

Oh, Sayaka's desire to cook has been ignited--that pot looks wonderful, though she looks at the lack of flame and to her Persona.]

Atropos, do you think you can get this pot to bubble? I think it could use some help...

[Atropos nods, and...let's just check below the pot so we don't burn down the house. Can Atropos use a little bit of fire to get it going?]

okay fine we're not doing that. but he does have some herbs that he's more inclined to use in a dish instead of compounding into medicine. with that said, is there enough to go around for other people to make something with the herbs or can they only make one thing?]

[It is definitely warmer... which means Shalem is more alert now, and he scuttles into the hut so he can continue to recuperate. The faster he warms up, the faster he becomes of use. Nevermind that the man has pulled a disappearing act on them.

While he's in here, he'll keep an eye out for anything usable.]
