Worst of all, a terrible demon haunts the streets of this powerful capital city.

[This time everyone tried spreading out!

Main Room: Mafuyu Holding Down The Fort Babey

A bunch of new rooms to observe!!

CRUSHING HELL: Sunrise finds herself in room filled with boulders and paintings of fierce wild animals on the walls. A lot of the boulders seem precarious as if they could fall over at any moment.

SCREAMING HELL: Eli and Celeste are... sorry Celest, in a room filled with active fires along with the disembodied sound of many people screaming in a panic. On the floor, safely away from any of the fires, is another line of the poem;

Now spies upon turning pyre, charred flesh no sinner will desire

BURNING HELL: Yi Sang has entered on of the hottest rooms yet! Inside is meat being roasted on spits over roaring fires, though something about it... seems inedible. Red hot iron clubs hang from the ceiling. Yikes.

GREAT SCREAMING HELL: McGillis welcome to the fucking snake room. Everything is covered in depictions of snakes or snakes erupting from people's bodies. There's screaming here as well but it feels more like it's coming from inside his head?

Also I'm crying because Shadow Izou is here and he slashes McGillis with a terrible wound! Nothing major has been nicked at least (18).]

...you know, the shoe taking off that dude's head was cool and all, but maybe you should have kept them on after all.

[ Sorry, Celeste. Just a thought. After scanning the creepy room with its fires and screaming, though, he does spot the scrap of paper. He'll do Celeste a solid and be the one to walk in and retrieve it, since he does have shoes and all. ]

[What was that, Eli? He walks in the room and is immediately right back out. Has he moved this fast, here, yet? Probably not. Thanks for doing everyone a solid and getting the poem...........]

[ Celeste?! Hello?! He snags the poem piece and runs back out after the vampire. ]

[...At least with the doors closed on the burning room, the panic subsides and he's? Fine? Relatively, anyway.]

Walking... into a burning room was an unpleasant surprise.

Oh. [ Long pause, considering it. ] Yeah, I guess that could seem pretty scary.

Mm. [And, you know, since the bat's out of the bag for everyone in this particular palace, and there's no reason to be super secretive--] Certain things just cause a... panic, in the blood, and I never know if it'll be fine or not. I could walk back in that room and not run back out again, but I wouldn't know until I tried.

[Frenzies are annoying when you're in your mind enough to think about them!!]

[Kirumi is stepping out of the Black Thread room, Nick having been able to take a look at how things are going.

You know what, let's go to where someone might need assistance of some sort. Kirumi chooses the Burning Hell room, to see Yi Sang, ready to go with him]

CURRENT POEM STATUS

[ Once everyone steps back out to combine poem pieces (except McGillis, who is getting shanked in his room, oh no, and Argenti... who has chosen to live in hell...???), Eli will attempt to read the latest poem as smartly as Yi Sang did.

He does not manage it, unfortunately, but that only means there are a few more long pauses and some confused squinting. Sorry. ]

"The demon flits between the hells, where he goes this rhyme can tell...
First along the shadow's edge, the demon follows somber threads.
Next chasing distant screams, amidst the fires panic seems
Third he twists all upside-down, over the chasm voices sound."

And the new one is, uh, "Now spies upon turning pyre, charred flesh no sinner will desire".

If the first was the sewing room [ thread room, eli, omg ] and the second was the one me and Celeste hit up, the smaller screaming one, the hell is the third one going to be? And where does this new one go? Fourth?

[ Argenti emerges from the hot sauna, looking unrepentently refreshed, sparkling even if he certainly has felt the heat - at this exact time he catches the words Eli lists out from he poem.

He has never presumed that Izou seemed the type to tend towards such matters of the arts. But the suggestion of a riddle wrapped within a poem is an example of his vast but hidden depths.

He plays along a strand of his hair, expression thoughtful. ]

The "third" must be the room I was in. After all, I saw that it was exactly that - upside down.

I had thought that perhaps it'd be inevitable he would visit that room specifically, eventually. And I do have half of a mind to return. There was also chanting, which goes hand in hand with the descriptor regarding chasm voices.

[ Points at Argenti with a fistful of poem scraps. ]

You yelled another line after going back into your stupid hell room, right? Was that part of this, or were you just being a flighty fancy shit? Something about crushing rocks?

[ Argenti pauses, because he almost let the memory of those words flick by, but recollection of composed words will not easily escaped his mind! ]

"Fourth now darting two and fro, avoiding boulders crushing foe" ... is how I believe it went.

Which should settle which one is the fourth, yes?

[PuppetGillis emerges now from the Great Screaming Room to tell everyone its full of snake pictures and also Izou was there. He also shot him real fucking good (20) but then Shadow Izou dipped. McGillis could also use a heal.

Puppetrise reports back that the Crushing Hell room is full of rocks!
