You find yourself in historical Kyoto at night. The city is shadowy and beautiful, elegant but hostile. It's a sophisticated city, but you don't belong there and it knows it. Everyone knows it. You are being watched.

Worst of all, a terrible demon haunts the streets of this powerful capital city.

It feels somewhat like the teahouse we went to earlier...

[ "Somewhat" only because Sunrise thinks this is still way fancier than the previous teahouse was. ]

...I think if we attract unwanted attention here, it will be messier than what happened outside. [ All these armed patrons... ]

[Well, speaking of, actually, once everyone walks inside they'll find themselves dressed for the occassion! (Sort of, anyway. Looking at you, Eli in Hizen's outfit.) Everyone is now dressed in traditional Japanese attire of varying fanciness as suits their tastes, including yukata, hakama, and whatever other robes you may fancy! There may be a few bits of Western flair, such as sensible women's boots or what have you, though. This is on the cusp of modern Japan after all.

This will hopefully make them not stand out TOO much. Right?]

( mafuyu takes a good look at herself, and seems... satisfied? she might feel pretty, if it even crossed her mind. )

We'll have to be careful. There's no guarantee we'll just be ignored this time...

( her brain just translates it as 'mafuyu-san' so this is normal, honestly. she's actually grateful it's mafuyu and not asahina. )

Maybe as long as we look like we're supposed to be here as we walk, we'll be fine too.

Uh huh. Sure. Maybe everyone else suddenly fits in, but Eli suddenly finds himself in torn rags and bandages, even if those rags do have a Japanese flair to them.

[ The full kimonos are, but it does take a bit to get used to moving in them. ]

[ Sunrise will not comment on Eli's outfit because, frankly, she doesn't have much fashion sense. The others have got it covered already anyway. She is however gesturing at Eli to lean down a little because sir you are too tall compared to her. ]

[ Sunrise also takes a look at herself(thank you Caitie), though from the way she adjusts her shawl, she largely seems glad that she still has it even with the outfit change, as much as the said shawl is likely kind of a mess now. ]'

I suppose this is more fitting for where we are.

Certainly so! We now all blend in beautifully with the rest of the others.

At the least we shall not draw the wrong kind of attention if we are careful.

[Well. That's certainly a quickchange if he's ever seen one. It seems the palace is encouraging them to fit in, for now.

Though he does try to test his range of movement before getting too far past the entry - they're probably walking into a fight at some point, and it would really suck to end up tangled in layers.

[ McGillis suddenly finds himself dressed in a very formal men's kimono - the kind you might wear at weddings... or to become blood brothers in the yakuza.

He looks down at himself in surprise. Normally he'd be all-in on playing dressup, but this... ]

It's going to be inconvenient to move in something so unfamiliar.

[ Also he still looks like Captain America, just like... cultural appropriation edition. ]

[Kirumi is dressed with a yukata. It's so odd to see her wearing something else than her uniform, really! And she knows it, because she looks at herself with some curiosity]

It has been a long time since I wore anything like this. How...refreshing.
