[ Yi Sang was gonna sit and watch for what the others are going to do...

Some of them sure are doing. Okay then, he can be motivated to do something before it all goes to hell. ]

So Yi Sang's debuff made two of the ghoulmis dazed, they're staggering about, and because of that, their attempts to attack Yi Sang (5) and Mafuyu (3) both miss completely. Dang!!!

Another one takes the chancla attack direct to the face, which knocks his whole skeletal head off! He is still moving and attacking, but without a head, he's not able to aim well, and just barely misses his attack on Celeste in retaliation (13 - 3 = 10).

So those guys are doing bad. One of the remaining guys shouts;]

Witnesses report seeing you speak with suspected conspirators! Since you won't turn them over or come quietly, we'll take you by force!!

[That guy and the fifth one launch attacks on Argenti (18) and McGillis (13). White Men Save Us. By taking the attacks. If you wish, you can try to Dodge by rolling at least one point above their attack roll.]

[ McGillis is considerably debuffed by the geta that he didn't take off and toss, so he does not manage to evade properly (8). ]

[ However, he is also a big tough men so regardless of whatever pain is coming his way, he is summoning his persona to counter attack. Fenrir growls.

[ Dodge? Argenti isn't really going to be doing much of that, because apparently one of the guys manages to take him by surprise (3) and he manages to get slashed.

...Normally even a strong attack wouldn't phase him much because he's armored, but he is currently not-armored, so he is actually surprised that he ends up bleeding. Not that it's fairly obvious he got hit hard since he doesn't even make a sound. He has taken worse hits before, he will just take a moment to recenter himself, and get back in the game.

Which, apparently, Argenti does, and he is going to just try to run the other guy through with his spear (18) ]

[Alright, guess that means nothing about the surroundings is favorable for the fight, got it.

Since there are five, it's for the best to try to subdue as fast as possible, and the way to do that is damage as many as possible. Mafrei, go!

( its a soft-spoken statement, yet it has a chilling firmness. but she's going to just cast media, healing mcgillis and argenti and i guess technically herself and one other person who isn't hurt right now. )

[ Similarly to McGillis, he, too, summons his giant wolf, though he's diving directly into brawling range with his fists held up and covered in icy claws (Overruff, 11). He'll be aiming to intercept the one flailing uselessly towards Celeste. ]

They expect us to hand over an entire place?!

No, Eli, they're demanding we turn in specific people from Tosa. But we're not able to, and they're trying to kill us regardless.

Why the fuck didn't they just say that then...? Damn, these things are dumb.

[Between the ghoul not having a head and him bouncing backwards out of slashing range, Celeste is distinctly aware of just how lucky he keeps getting in regards to, you know, not getting hit, here. On the way, he does kick off his other shoe in the general direction of one of the other ghouls, just in case he gets another lucky hit... he doesn't (10), but, you know, worth a try.

Our headless friend is a bit too close to really attack with his weapon, though, so he attempts an Eiga on him, and... apparently he was too close for that, too (2). Get it together, Ba'al.]

[ ...Yes, she really needs to put all of them down, is what she's thinking as she watches that headless ghoulmi try to attack.

She summons Ushas and casts Magaru, aiming to hit Saito, Okita, Nagakura and Kondo (19, 15, 12, 13). ]

[ Whichever of the gumi one that went for Yi Sang is getting stabbed with his dagger (15) in response. You lost the clash buddy, pay for it by taking damage. ]

[Hijikata, Saito, Okita, and Nagakura are looking a little ragged, while Kondo seems to have weathered the hit he got ok!!

However, a sixth shinsenghoulmi has showed up!! Lets call this one Yamanami.

Hijikata launches an attack at Eli (beat 12 to dodge)!

Saito swings at Argenti but misses! (9)

Okita continues trying to cut McGillis down to size (beat 11 to dodge)!

Nagakura runs at Kirumi to slash at her (beat 18 to dodge)!

Kondo tries to attack Mafuyu but falls over in the process! (2)

and the newly arrived Yamanami gets a big bad surprise attack on Celeste! (20)]

[ Well, he's sure taking care to notice that there's another enemy now. But, he is occupied with the one in front of him. In fact...

Argenti is pressing the advantage when Saito misses, mercilessly thrusting his spear forward, trying to stab into the creature or tear it asunder - whatever he may be able to manage first (18) ]

[ Clearly, Eli got too close and didn't get away again fast enough (9). He takes a slash as he stumbles back a step, sword cutting through cloth and grazing his chest. It also keeps him at bay, stopping him from attacking again, for now (4). ]

[ Well. McGillis is really not good with this clothing and it is frustrating him deeply. (8) He receives another shallow cut on his arm. This poor kimono is already not as fancy anymore... Thankfully Yi Sang's heal makes sure that he won't be put out of commission any time soon.

While McGillis still cannot seem to get out of Okita's range, neither can Okita get out of his. Time for another Garula! (16) ]

[ Since Mafuyu is preoccupied with healing Celeste and there's prey just lying on the floor, Sunrise is just going to stab Kondo with the bayonet of her rifle before he can get up like it's a spear (11 after rolling with advantage).]

[Slashed, she was! Kirumi isn't resistant to pain, she staggers backwards, trying to deal with the injury in a way that won't leave her unable to keep fighting. The heal came at the right time, and Kirumi decides that, since she's healed, it'd be best to attack this one, Nagakura. She lunges forward with her axe, her Persona activated to make this be a physical attack and therefore better than just swinging an axe. Here we go!

[Considering he'd been accounting for the enemies present and not, you know, any newcomers, that big bad surprise attack sure does manifest in him being run right through!]

[First order of business is to get that sword out, though, and with how close Yamanami is, it's quick and dirty, but the ghoulmi does still get tangled up in silk and ripped back and away, courtesy of Admit One, but only just barely (11). He will be focusing on him to get ready for any further attacks, though, for better or worse!

And, hey, the quick heals are very much appreciated, because they sure do keep him on his feet.]

[Saito and Okita crumble into void dust! Hooray!!

However, three more shinsenghoulmi have arrived. Oh no!!! Lets call them Serizawa, Harada, and Inoue.

Hijikata attempts to attack Eli again but finally misses! (7)

Nagakura takes a swing at Kirumi again but barely misses! (10)

Yamanami clearly did not like getting tangled up so he instead tries to attack Mafuyu which feels like it's also a personal attack on Celeste tbh (beat 16 to dodge!)!

Kondo jumps back to his feet and launches a vicious attack to defend his honor against Sunrise (beat 19 to dodge)!

Newcomer Serizawa slashes at Yi Sang (beat 15 to dodge)!

Newcomer Harada attempts to stab McGillis but trips over one of the sandals Argenti threw! (1)

Newcomer Inoue tries to cut off Argenti's head but only nicks some hair! (7)

The numbers are getting out of hand, huh...]
