[Kainé enters the Nekiya, the church, and the subsequent trashed house to following revelations:
1. Too many people have started camping out in the wilderness for her liking. Stop picnicking! 2. This place is a pigsty. 3. There's a huge horse monster menacing a couple of shaken-looking kids in the middle of the room. 4. One of those kids literally just has a rolling pin.]
Oh, shit on a shingle. Why did I expect anything different?
[Possibly wall-running off of some pulse of trash and scattered furniture for the style points, she darts forward into the thick of it, with the momentum enough to give her Lunge (19) a hearty hit for light physical damage.]
AUBREY'S MOM(?) roars in pain from Kainé's lunge. Apparently her attack has fully grabbed the Shadows attention, because it attempts to attack her all three times - but misses (4, 6, 4).
It still looks ready to go for more rounds, but this turn is a good breather for the kids.
[Kainé just seems very bloodthirstily excited by the creature turning its attention to her and missing all of its follow-up attacks.]
Tch. Is that all it's gonna take...?
[The others get their blows in, and she follows up with a sharp swing of her serrated sword (15). After the minor ass-kicking to AUBREY'S MOM(?), her only response to Yoon's thanks is -]
Under the combined onslaught of all three combatants, AUBREY'S MOM(?) finally crumples. The creature screams in the voice of a woman as it fades away into darkness, leaving the TV to play for an empty couch. Though she may be gone, her place is clearly marked from the lack of trash where she once sat.
That, and one other thing... a single Lily of the Valley flower wrapped in bouquet paper, tied off with a purple ribbon.
[The taunt blows back in her face with the Shadow's scream and dissipation. Her gaze falls to the flower left behind, like something precious was here all along.
But it was just a monster. She touches the side of her head where the Lunar Tear is tucked into her hair, then turns away as Mafuyu picks up the Lily of the Valley.]
She's got a sick sense of humor. [Kainé to the Goddess: "bitch."] I'm going farther in. Stay out of trouble.
