Sou knows he's made far too many enemies in this game. His attempts to manipulate and steal a victory for himself have led him into an unwinnable situation.

The party can see, if just for a moment, the swirling Teal and Magenta energies within Sou. The internal fight of "I can't die" and "I can't let Kanna die". It seems like the conflict that created this palace had been going on even since then.

But the end was never decided by Sou, no matter how much he pleaded. It was always up to Sara.

And Sara chose for Sou to die.

Somehow, he's not scared anymore. Knowing Kanna, his one and only sister, will live a little bit longer is enough for him. He closes his eyes and accepts his fate. That 0.0% chance of surviving remains true.]
