But, then there is Eli who comes rushing in to reign down an area attack with his ice magic, slicing into the more wounded one with prejudice. The only one is hit just as hard. Though they persist nonetheless.
...Until Falin's bless attack finishes it off entirely before Argenti can do much of anything about it.

The shadow then does act once more, seemingly invigorated by the loss of its ally - raising the staff, a healing and soothing light falls over the remaining flunky and the statue itself, healing a moderate amount of damage.
After that, the shadow raises the staff again, casting Marakunda on Izou, Aerith, McGillis, and Mafuyu to lower their defenses. The shadow will also swing its staff in Izou's direction, hitting him (11)
The still mostly weakened demonic lion lashes out again with another heavy physical strike (Heat Wave), aiming to hit Céleste (10), but missing, whiffing Falin (9), hitting Aerith (15), and then missing Aaron (1). Then it roars, casting Marakukaja to raise the defense of the remaining duo party (the shadow and itself.)
Though the boss isn't quite done yet, casting Mapsiodyne once more over at Eli (12) hitting on point, striking Aaron hard (20), managing to catch Fray (13), and miss Mafuyu (5). ]

He launches himself at the other lion next, swinging that massive blade down for a physical strike (19), immediately followed by another Thunderous Rage (11). Though he's still focused on the battle, Argenti's words are apparently pissing him off too, because he can't resist speaking up.]
If that were true, you'd have a far more monstrous appearance, wouldn't you? You're still in there, Argenti, and I will drag you out if I must.

So instead of responding further, he sends a Giant Slice (16) at the shadow! His second move will be a Garula (13) at the remaining lion flunky!!
He does miss having his trusty gun but Fenrir can still fight plenty in its place. ]

As Izou holds out his blade, Medes opens her hands to let the liquid drip onto the blade, imbuing it with an eerie red glow. Izou lashes out once more at the Shadow with Blade of Slaughter (16), his physical attack imbued with light curse damage.]

[That -dyne spell sure sends him on his ass, wow! No regrets about going for Argenti though and he will die on this hill!! After getting up though, he will make an attempt at helping with the remaining lion… with attempt being the keyword here because both of his slashes miss (5, 5) rip.]

She springs for the remaining lion to rake her claws down its side (13), followed swiftly with a lightning-charged Fang, Claw, and Fulguration (16) that punctuates her words with an extra growl. ]

[It would seem that, despite the cleanse, it's a little hard to shake off that brainwash to aim properly, as both his attempt to Maeiha Argenti and the Lion misses (3,2), and so does his follow up Giant Slice (10) - though only just barely.]
