Well, at least he is amenable to also answering those questions. ]

He is holding onto my memory.

It isn't the first time my "existence" has held him back. Recently, he became trapped in a dream, because he thought I had been cured of my state, and returned from the dead. Even if it was absurdly foolish.

He wants you back that badly, huh.

[He can at least relate to this much -- it's not like he doesn't know what it's like to lose close friends either. Even so, clinging to hope that badly...]

Or is it 'cause of the way it ended between the two of you? Not every day you have to strike down your own friend.

...It is both, yes. He wishes that I could return, and it is due to how matters ended between us.

Yet, those who follow Idrila must also remember to be a reflection of that flawless nature. Him holding on so tightly to the point of distraction means he falls short.

Is that right? Pretty damn strict, if you ask me. You telling me Idrila wouldn't forgive a slip up or two? I mean, the guy's only human.

You are correct that the Path of a Knight of Beauty is very strict. We adhere to many oaths, intense and rigorous physical and mental straining, as well as many other aspects in order to prove ourselves worthy to serve Idrila.

As for if Idrila is forgiving...I would say that THEY are. In our eyes, such a goddess is merciful, beautiful, powerful, and discerning.

[ There's a pause as if he is considering his words, though before he decides to add afterall: ]

Do you think he is human?

[To Aaron, who essentially does whatever he wants when he wants, he can safely conclude that he would not care to do anything close to what Argenti does.

But okay, let him clarify on that other point a bit.]

Dunno if he’s literally human, but I think he’s got likes and dislikes like everyone else. Probably has a list of stuff he doesn’t like doing too, even if he might pretend otherwise. Everyone’s done shit they regret at some point or another, too.

So even if he’s not actually human, he’s close enough to it, I figure. You gonna tell me otherwise?

Whether or not he remains that way, is another story entirely.

But until that happens, it sounds like the rest of these guys wanna try and pull him back from the brink, so I might as well come along for the ride.

I do not understand you. But, I see since you are so intent on following those other ones who are so foolishly stubborn...

You will see how fruitless their efforts are and how much of a waste of time this is.

[ But he will gesture towards the paths that are open, just like how they were with Sayaka's. North, East, West, and South. ]
