Argenti's Palace

They don their masks and shields,
Shadows creep and cover their minds;
Now, what beautiful role shall they play?

[ Falin quietly steps up to the statue with the weird appearance, tilting her head as she looked at it. It was beautiful, but why was it different from the others?

She doesn't reach out to touch it, yet, holding her staff close. Perhaps...

Falin moves her head a little closer and blows a breeze onto it, just testing to see if it'll react. ]

[ ...It doesn't react (1), perhaps that is a good thing?

But up close she can notice something (14), and that is something inscribed on the statue with the following words:

𝓑𝔂 𝓐𝓷𝓷𝓮 𝓓𝓾𝓻𝓪𝔂, 𝓖𝓸𝓭 𝓸𝓯 𝓑𝓮𝓪𝓾𝓽𝔂. ]

I see...so perhaps it was a gift? [ Falin whispers mostly to herself. She thinks for a moment. But its still odd that its different so time for a more direct approach...

She pokes the petals with her staff. ]

[ The petals do nothing.

Falin pokes at the statue, but if anything, it simply looks beautiful (16)...perhaps it senses her pure intentions, because...

...the scent of rose petals fills her general space, and for a moment she sees a vision of Argenti himself in a dark place where no light reaches.

There is someone else there as well with blond short hair, lying prone on what appears to be a surface of pure blackness, and he reaches on over to pick him up into his arms.

When she blinks, the short vision is over, and the strange statue is gone. There doesn't appear to be anything left. ]

[ Falin blinks repeatedly, her quiet worry for Argenti growing. These palaces reflect the ruler...that's what someone told her. Was Argenti reliving painful moments alone? Should she tell the others?

Perhaps not right this second...it was clearly a private memory for Argenti and she should respect his privacy as well...

Holding her staff close again, she nods to herself and hurries back towards the group to help out. ]
