[ Something prickles at her memory, and while she can't recover even a fraction of a second of whatever it is that's been missing every since that fight on the highway in Midgar, the fact remains that there's something there, something familiar.

And she's ready to take the brunt of the pain for Yoon, as he's been through enough already and she'll be fine after this she knows it—

But that doesn't happen. There's a shift and something changes, the hurt she had resigned herself to for his sake crumbling as he shields her from it, shields the both of them from it. It all happens in a flash, too fast for her to easily process it even as the palace walls come crumbling down and they're right outside the library.

What is she supposed to do? What is she supposed to say? Aerith is unusually quiet when the real world settles around all of them again, her silence contemplative and a little shellshocked. ]

[ Fucking gods, honestly. Schneider has no patience for either of them. But when the sword pointed at Aerith, Schneider watched too closely. Worry? Fear? Neither are like her.

[All's well that ends well...? It seems so. Shalem has to breathe after seemingly having held it and being prepared to do something extremely drastic these past few minutes, but it's fine. There's a lot to digest, but they're all fine, in the end.

Which means it's time for him to leave. There's no point in him staying since this is a gathering for friends now, and none of these people are his friends.

[Fray was already moving the moment he saw the sword, but his low skill speed comes back to bite him again. Yoon manages to block the God of Conflict's blow and both are spared, which is fantastic. Truly, the best possible outcome.

He'll thank Yoon for it later, and make sure Aerith is holding up alright as well, but...

But what does this mean for the next time the God of Conflict shows up? Will they be this lucky again, or will he have prepared something else for them? The adrenaline still courses through Fray and he's not sure how exactly he's going to get it to settle without anything left to fight.]
