Ha ha, [Kaine deadpans, giving him an equally deadpan look.] I kept getting sent back the way I came, and then I got stuck behind that door. I got one way of dealing with locks. [And it's not anything requiring finesse or sleight of hand.

So...she did kind of get lost, probably having let her rashness get in the way of her puzzle solving to get through the palace to join up with the group. Or something; that'll so for nebulous handwaving.]

[Thankfully, he's not some crazy door advocate so he really couldn't care less about her knocking down one or two or even three. Mostly, it's just awkward popping up in the library looking like a bunch of weird cosplayers and then having someone try to knock down the door while they're trying to make their (not so) subtle escape.]

Well, least you made it in time for the afterparty. All the fun for none of the work sounds pretty sweet to me.
