[ You go into the library, some of you without much apprehension – it is, indeed, dark in here, minus the singular the glowing object in the room. It is situated on a tabletop in the middle of the first floor.

The butterflies seem to follow you all inside, though, and towards the object. Are they leading you? Protecting it? ... Warning you?

Either way, those who get closer can see that the object is...a book! And despite your closeness, the butterflies do not advance towards you. What will you do now? ]

[ while it is probably dangerous to touch an item in a dungeon, soujuurou figures that they won't advance until they go to the book.

[He's going to learn around Soujuurou and see if he can get a look at the book's cover. Is there any title visible?]

[ No, actually. There is no title. ]

[ Soujuurou's already doing what she would do, so Sunrise is watching. ]

[Well, since Soujuurou has the book covered, he's going to look around the rest of the library for all the good it will do because bolding is law!!! Anyways, does he find anything else interesting in the area or is he shit out of luck...]

[ Bolding is law indeed, but for Aaron's efforts, with what little light they have, he can find a small feather laying on the floor nearby.

[Well, since everyone else is busy checking out the book, Richard is going to take a closer look at those butterflies. Exactly how many of them are there?]

[ It's hard to tell exactly how many, but there are at least ~40 of them, give or take. ]

[ We're attempting butterfly catching. Why not. ]

[ Yi Sang can grasp at them, but the butterflies always seem to be right out of reach. Weird. ]

[Aubrey meanwhile holds out a hand with her finger extended to see if she can get one of the butterflies to ignore her punk-ass vibe and land on her.]

[ Unfortunately... ]

[But what about the butterflies... Shalem hangs around near the back of the crowd, holding out a finger as if trying to entice a butterfly to land on it. Fat chance of that, beasts rarely care for him, but if they're there, clearly, they might have something to say even if they have no mouths.]

They don't look like they're afraid of or avoiding Shalem specifically, at least! ]

[Since Soujuurou's got the book, Fray's keeping an eye out for anything that might potentially pose a threat. Sudden monster jumpscares or something?? You never know!!]

[ Nope! No (other?) threats in the area. ]

[ Everyone else is already checking into things, so Aerith hangs back a bit and readies herself for... whatever is going to happen with that book. ]

[ Also watching Soujuurou with the book. Though, this IS a library, is there only one book? She's glancing around for shelves or anything like that... ]

[ Nope, the other books are still there! Just...not glowing. This one seems to be the most prominent one.

Notably, though, if Ai looks at the other tables, there are a few medical books lying around. ]

[Arven joins the others who are quietly readying themselves.

His eyes keep drifting toward that book, though. He wonders what sort of importance it might hold to the palace ruler, if any.]

[ With all the investigating, butterfly catching, and book grabbing happening, for a moment, it seems like things are calm. Quiet.

However, when the book is opened, suddenly, a large, violent gust of wind comes shooting out from the book. Oddly enough the wind feels like it is pulling you in, and then suddenly, it pushes you two steps back. This continues for just another moment before there's a big pull that drags you into its vortex.

[Shalem stumbles when the pull ends, and needs to use his staff to steady himself again. But... Well. Okay. He shakes himself from head to tail-- okay, his whole body is here, and no injuries.]

Is everyone all right? Everyone intact and uninjured?

[ Ai's 4'11" and probably the lightest one here so she'll get swept off her feet right away. Her hands will reach out to grab something, someone - ]
