KYOTO BAKUMATSU PALACE
You find yourself in historical Kyoto at night. The city is shadowy and beautiful, elegant but hostile. It's a sophisticated city, but you don't belong there and it knows it. Everyone knows it. You are being watched.

Worst of all, a terrible demon haunts the streets of this powerful capital city.

Eli Walsh, Kirumi Tojo, Still Sunrise, Argenti, Yi Sang, Celeste, Mafuyu Asahina, and McGillis Fareed, do you dare journey into hell?

...The poem pieces Eli and I found mention a demon moving from one hell to another.

[ He'll just recite it from memory: ]

The demon flits between the hells, where he goes this rhyme can tell...
First along the shadow's edge, the demon follows somber threads.
Next chasing distant screams, amidst the fires panic seems.

...I am not sure which door would count as "shadow's edge", but it seems after that..."Black Thread Hell", then one of the screaming hells, and then the burning hells...?

[It's a guess, but. If the shadow in question is death, then the edge of it would be being revived and brought back from the brink, or something.]

That's a reasonable assumption and gives us a path to follow for our earliest attempts.

We should dispatch at least three of our number to that one. More might be beneficial if we decide we're certain on the meaning.

I'd like to go to the Black Thread door. If he escapes to that room, we'd have something of an upper hand awaiting him.

Otherwise, it may be the first room if the poem is more forthright than expected.

It might be. Several of us should go to that door and see if that could be the starting point here.
