KYOTO BAKUMATSU PALACE
You find yourself in historical Kyoto at night. The city is shadowy and beautiful, elegant but hostile. It's a sophisticated city, but you don't belong there and it knows it. Everyone knows it. You are being watched.

Worst of all, a terrible demon haunts the streets of this powerful capital city.

Eli Walsh, Kirumi Tojo, Still Sunrise, Argenti, Yi Sang, Celeste, Mafuyu Asahina, and McGillis Fareed, do you dare journey into hell?

The layout of this place is truly dreadful.

I'm surprised that these places have made as much sense as they have up until this point.

[Unlike with Yi Sang over there, Kirumi focuses on something more positive:]

Perhaps that now it is starting to be stranger means we are close to the...core of it all, so to speak. We could take it as a sign we are on the right track.

[Kirumi immediately tries to give Mafuyu some encouraging words, it seems! Long ago she put Mafuyu in her shortlist of people to whom such attitude perhaps could be helpful]

[I already gave the above guys the three room so just to mix it up I'll give Kirumi another neutral room.

There are civillians cowering in here! They want to be left alone. No stairs in here! The roll total is now 19!]

[Kirumi opens this room, sees the civilians, and although she knows it's not really a 'real' place, she looks behind her, to the others:]

[Just communicating to the civilians she's not the threat after them. Let's open another door. This time, it's a 4!]

Kirumi opens another door and in this one!!! Is the stairs!! Hooray!!

But once she gathers everyone to head up, the group finds themselves in another hallway with... More doors. The tsuba still urges Mafuyu upwards. You can react to door puzzle electric boogaloo here, subsequent rolls will count towards this floor!]

[Yi Sang opens the door... and hey, it's one of those shadow guys!!!

He hands Yi Sang a ripped piece of paper.]

[Argenti has also found a shadowy figure!!! But this one doesn't have paper. Sad. It's also pretty small and speaks with a child's voice;]

At night, when the winds were quiet and the city was asleep, I heard the demon crying.

[Kirumi actually sighs when she sees there are more doors here. It won't be so easy to get to the center of Izou's palace, Kirumi, come on. There are more layers to peel off this onion before you get there.
