[ Hm. The watchitis is really unnerving. So while McGillis would normally not have scruples about making his way through a crowd, he's now thinking twice about it. Will bumping into people be a wrongdoing in the eyes of this entity? ]

[McGillis manages to carefully avoid bumping anyone, but at the expense of it taking a while (11), so he's only halfway to the shadow man and will have to roll again to continue his trek, or adopt a different strategy.]

There's a combat encounter over with the others and he briefly considers turning back but actually, no, this is a good distraction. ]

There is little that is more ferocious than a demon. Where I am from, demonic protection is one of the greatest powers one could be granted.

Ferocity isn't all that polite society asks for. A proper samurai is far more valueable.

[ These are not sentiments he would have voiced when he was alive - too committed to fitting into polite society, to projecting an air of being One of Them.
