IZOU'S PALACE
KYOTO BAKUMATSU PALACE
You find yourself in historical Kyoto at night. The city is shadowy and beautiful, elegant but hostile. It's a sophisticated city, but you don't belong there and it knows it. Everyone knows it. You are being watched.
Worst of all, a terrible demon haunts the streets of this powerful capital city.
Eli Walsh, Kirumi Tojo, Still Sunrise, Argenti, Yi Sang, Celeste, Mafuyu Asahina, and McGillis Fareed, do you dare journey into hell?

Buh? Wait. [ What? Huh?! ] Was that it?!

[ The praise isn't sarcastic. McGillis does like watching people kick ass.
Even if the ass was very easy to kick. We'll just gloss over that. ]

[ Praise...? What is this? First Aubrey's palace, now this. People telling him he's done good is weird! ]
no subject
[Nice, it was totally dealt with. Kirumi has no complaints!]

My, he sure went down easy for talking so much.

[ He looks uncertainly at Garm, who offers no answers besides a huff before fading away into the mists again. ]

[But, you know, that sure sounded like you were looking for some praise there, my guy, so. Just. Gonna give one of those promised good boy hair ruffles as he walks by onto the bridge.]

I said not to do that, Celeste!
[ Eli is ignoring the forced confession about liking headpats from before. He is ignoring it! It is ignored! Huff, puff, well, whatever, he'll cross the bridge after. ]

Two men are arguing, a man with a shock of red hair and a fearsome mask and one they recognize as Izou.
The red haired man shouts with the voice of the Shadow Man, "I don't want people lumpin' me in with you! I'm twice the samurai you'll ever be, family name or no!" Izou counters, "Aah? Why you'd you put your money where your damn mouth is, Tanaka!?"
The scene shifts abruptly, seemingly later that same day given the change of light, where the two are drinking together, laughing. Tanaka thumps Izou on the back and asserts, "Y'know you're not so bad yourself, Okada!"
Then the memory fades.]

It seems so...
But, I can only imagine the difficulty will grow from hereon.

[ did his side lose??? eli bets they lost ]

[ someone had to say it. ]

[ or: good job! maybe. ]

[ ...Wait this is one of those idioms, isn't it. Probably? ]
no subject
[ crying in "yes he's explaining it" ]
Not that they were speaking much of themself except in comparison to the demon, or perhaps Izou. I wonder if this was a person from Izou's life.

Thank you, Mr. Eli.
