I suppose, based on what we have heard, if the demon does not appear to cut us down where we stand once we get its attention, then it will try to do so when we reach there.

I think that might be best. In the other place like this, there were a lot of shadows that we had to fight- it was dangerous to be split up for too long.

However they cannot cross it. There is a shadowy figure standing in the way. Like. Literally shadowy. He's shaped like a man but cloaked in shadow despite the clear moonlight.

It holds out a similarly shadowed sword and says;]

YOU ARE TOO FEW TO TAKE ON THE DEMON.

[Sorry Eli, you are being railroaded just a little this one time. Better find the other half of your group or wait for them.]
