THE END 2.0: THE AFTERPARTY
THE END 2.0
THIS IS NOT GOODBYE (YET)
- Welcome back to Sunset City! Kenir has been defeated, the barrier around the city has been broken, and the Temple has been restored to its usual condition.
Following your conversations with Braphine at the Temple, your local goddess of community and connection has granted you the gift of being able to go back to where you came from, or to visit other places where your bonds have been formed.
But. It takes time to prepare all these, no?
Which is why you have been granted some time. Time to yourself, with your new bonds and friendships, positive and/or negative - to spend time with each other before you go your separate ways.
Dennyhop, burger-making, movie time, karaoke, rest… Whatever you choose to do with your remaining time in Sunset City is up to you. It's safe to roam around, too, given that the residents seem to be themselves again – sure, there is conflict, there is anger, there is sadness to be found, but there is not anything depriving the people of the full human experience. Not right now, and hopefully, not for a long time. The sense of community is present among the residents…
…And perhaps among all of you, too. Much more so than when you first arrived.

READ ME!!!!
- Here is your aftermath/afterparty post! Feel free to host your own FFA gatherings in this post or any wrap-up threads with your CR. The epilogue/goodbye post will go up tomorrow, Saturday 2/11 at 12pm EST, along with a tl:cr and love meme!

You have a long way to go, meaning you'll have a lot of time to find your true strength rather than simply copying that of others. [Even now, he's telling Kenir that he should be a proper god, and not a dumb shit.
Then again, if anyone were to lecture someone on the comportment of gods, it'd be someone who already met his own.]
Conflict is close to war, and gods of war tend to be dignified, even if others find them and their object of rule distasteful. Don't embarrass yourself when you're older, hm?

I'm not literally a child!
[Bold words coming from the mouth of someone who does in fact look and behave like a literal child.]
The power from your conflicts were infused with your essences - it'd have been a waste not to use them!

What is yours? Have you any of your own?
Did you ever have any?

Do you have rocks for a brain, too?
This world has had periods of war - glorious ages when people fought to stop powerful empires from uniting them under a single banner so they could keep their own land and culture.
no subject
And what's stopping you from being that glorious? A lack of power, of course. Again, I ask-- what is stopping you from having your own, unique power?
If us mortals can have them, why can't you? You should learn, little god, and carve out an identity of your own.

[He looks... completely unimpressed.]
You can cut the theatrics. She's bound me to life so I can't try reforming whole again.
And the one stopping me is her, obviously. You'd know that if you ever cleaned out your ears.

That you're no god any longer. Not even equivalent to a Beast Lord. [The dagger is still right there.] And you asked me to join you at the very last moment? You should have done so earlier, and I might have just done so.
But it was far, far too late. A great tragedy could have been spun from this, but you made... terrible decisions.

Next time you can take on a goddess who's already got most the world behind her and tell me how it goes for you.

[Then he brushes his hand over his bare neck.]
no subject
[Just staring like
is this supposed to do something?]
Keep your hands to yourself.

Given she has no intention of doing so, consider yourself fortunate.
