THE END 2.0: THE AFTERPARTY
THE END 2.0
THIS IS NOT GOODBYE (YET)
- Welcome back to Sunset City! Kenir has been defeated, the barrier around the city has been broken, and the Temple has been restored to its usual condition.
Following your conversations with Braphine at the Temple, your local goddess of community and connection has granted you the gift of being able to go back to where you came from, or to visit other places where your bonds have been formed.
But. It takes time to prepare all these, no?
Which is why you have been granted some time. Time to yourself, with your new bonds and friendships, positive and/or negative - to spend time with each other before you go your separate ways.
Dennyhop, burger-making, movie time, karaoke, rest… Whatever you choose to do with your remaining time in Sunset City is up to you. It's safe to roam around, too, given that the residents seem to be themselves again – sure, there is conflict, there is anger, there is sadness to be found, but there is not anything depriving the people of the full human experience. Not right now, and hopefully, not for a long time. The sense of community is present among the residents…
…And perhaps among all of you, too. Much more so than when you first arrived.

[He seems to hesitate though.]

Or burn them. That little girl with the forge may allow you to throw them in there.

You may not have said it out loud then, but that's no different from now.

[He glances down at the cards again.]
...I really should have told her that we were related. Even in that last moment, before I died.

[It just eats at him that she's going to never find out the truth. Waitingwas the right choice, but they had run out of time in the end.]

... I was... going to suggest either my own Japan- someplace familiar but without Asunaro- or... um. Paldea- Arven's country.
It's an incredibly gentle world, so I thought maybe... it would be good for you.

[It's a gentle teasing.]

[Maybe he'll visit home, once the death game is over...

My world has no place for me either. So I'll keep looking.

I guess there's nothing stopping me from traveling around until I find the place I want to be.

[ hmmm ]
You can follow me to Yoon's world. It seems like an interesting place. Maybe you can get insight into what you want there.
