What's Up?

Mafuyu and Aerith have hatched a plan to give Braphine's Chosen some time to relax and have fun together! And just in the nick of time...

Date and Location

Afternoon of Monday, October tth into October 8th
The Aquarium within the Office District

The sway of water

It's a normal morning for anyone who's managing to sleep a standard schedule- up until a mass text goes out, that is. Everyone will find the same thing from either Mafuyu or Aerith's username:

ONE NIGHT STAY-OVER AT THE LOCAL AQUARIUM, SCHEDULED MONDAY, OCTOBER SEVENTH!! All of Braphine's Chosen are invited to an exclusive event hosted at the aquarium where guests can spend the day taking tours and then sleep over in qualified areas. Dining will be provided, all we have to bring is ourselves, changes of clothes and pillows and blankets. (And yes, the floors will be extra clean.)

... Simple enough. And should you choose to attend, both your hostesses will be pleased to see you once it's time to head over.

As they said, the aquarium is largely empty save for the group, and it's definitely worth it. A serene song plays overhead while attendants give tours or explanations as needed. The variety of aquatic life is surprisingly vast as well, and spacious halls give way to plenty of opportunity to explore.

Come nightfall, certain rooms dim the lights but the tanks stay lit- or black lit as darker enclosures like the jellyfish hall and the octopus tanks remain- and only a few staff remain to keep an eye on things- so... stay on your best behavior. The two restaurants stay open- a regular fast food joint with kitschy island cabana theming, and a much more upscale lounge where Aerith plans on corralling the adults for fun this evening.

Once it's time for the age groups to split, Aerith will lead the adults to a pleasant lounge with more tanks, large couches or more private tables, and a view overlooking one of the main rooms of the aquarium- wave to the kids if they're there! Or don't. Bouquets of flowers are placed around the room, and it looks like Aerith has a few ideas already, though she won't stop anyone from going out to review the different sections again.

Contrasting Mafuyu, who is content to let the fellow teens do whatever- though if they do congregate, she's not really the social sort and will simply be content to enjoy the vibes. Even if you just want to take a nap somewhere, there's plenty of dark secluded areas to do so.

This log is for an ic sleepover hosted at the aquarium! All characters are invited but attendance is not mandatory. That said, there are still staff members ready to boot any troublemakers out. We wanted to keep the types of displays vague to give everyone creative freedom, and characters are welcome to flit about between groups as they desire, be it to check in or to to snoop or whatever. As discussed with the mods, this does count as an open event and can be used for rewards. Thank you all for your interest!

[Now if the game was simply to make someone blush in general, Mafuyu certainly wins this round.

You...don't have to apologize. I, uh, I get jealous easily. It's dumb, but the more Atem did to make you lose the game, the more heated I felt.

[He tips his head so he's resting it against her.]

I could tell it wasn't getting to you though, so that helped.

Just remember, I love you. So... when it comes to things like that, no one's going to matter but you.

( had he not moved to lean on her, she probably would have just... gently headbumped him. so, it works. bunny on dog communication. )

[Mafuyu's reassurance does wonders to dispel his insecurities.]

Thanks, Mafuyu... I'll remember. I promise.

[No guarantees that he still won't have his moments of jealousy, but he'll just try to remind himself of this conversation.]

( snuggle time. in front of god and everybody.

... it may be a good time to relocate for bed, since the last game of the night doesn't look to be his thing, and why would she play more when she can be with him???? )

[Arven's content to keep snuggling, but eventually he catches on to the vibes.]

Have you had your fill of partying?

Mmhm. I could use a different drink, too.

( melon soda is bubbly but it's not actually good for hydration. )

Not a bad idea. What are you in the mood for? Tea? Water? We can grab it on the way back.

[As for where they're going back to... Well, whichever of their dorms is empty, probably.]

I don't mind either way.

( but why would they leave? it's the sleepover portion, after all! they just need to choose someplace to snuggle for the night. )

What do you want?

[Why, indeed. This player didn't forget or anything--]

Hmmm. I could go for some tea. It's always nice for getting cozy at the end of the day, right? We can go see what the restaurant has.

[He reluctantly pulls away for the time being.]

Then we can pick a spot to get settled.

[beathollow]

( ... she is. only a little disappointed he's not princess carrying her out. but she's going to ignore that, because that feels silly. )

Alright.

( up they go! mafuyu's pyjamas include a cardigan, so she hadn't brought anything but her melon soda. she waves to a few people as she picks her way out of the crowd and they can head off. )

[It's okay, Mafuyu will get plenty of cuddle time to make up for it.

After saying goodbye to the other partygoers and grabbing their tea, they head over to where Arven set all of their luggage and bedding for the night. He's happy to move it all, but he'll need Mafuyu to hold his drink.]

Did you have a place in mind to sleep, or do you wanna set up where the other teens are at?

The shark tunnel might be cool, but the jellyfish hall is the most relaxing. ... But also, we risk getting stepped on, since it's so dark.

[supherb]

Hmmm. [He reaches into his giant backpack. Of course he brought it with.] I did bring a little lantern with me, so we can set it up to let people know we're there.

Wanna do jellyfish, then?

[beathollow]

Yes.

( and then she pauses. )

Are... you sure you don't have a preference, though?

[supherb]

[He's a little surprised to be asked, but his answer comes easy.]

This is gonna sound super corny, but I'm serious: I'm happy to be anywhere you are.

[beathollow]

oh.

her cheeks are a rosy red and after a moment she just kind of leans against him to hide in his shoulder, radiating heat- )

I love you.

[Whoa! He wasn't expecting that big of a reaction. His hands are a little full, but me manages to tip his head down press a kiss atop hers.]

Heheh. I love you too.

[Once she's ready to move, they can head over to the jellyfish tanks and get set up.]

( yes, this is a good plan. mafuyu's own bag was stored at the restaurant, so she grabbed it on their way out.

once they get back to the jellyfish hall, it feels even darker this late. mafuyu sets her things down and pulls out the little record-player speaker to turn it's gentle light on- it matches the vibes of the aquarium since it feels like light under the waves.

now it's time to make the nest. )

I have some blankets to cushion the floor...

( and various more blankets. and pillows. and her bunny- )

Great! We've got waaaay more than enough between the two of us.

[He flops his pile of bedding onto the floor and starts sorting through it.]

I figured we'd want extra since Mabosstiff is with us. And, uh...so his fur doesn't get all over your blankets in case you don't want that.

[He says this like Mabosstiff hasn't been on Mafuyu's bed before. But he's just being prepared!!]
