It's a normal morning for anyone who's managing to sleep a standard schedule- up until a mass text goes out, that is. Everyone will find the same thing from either Mafuyu or Aerith's username:
... Simple enough. And should you choose to attend, both your hostesses will be pleased to see you once it's time to head over.
As they said, the aquarium is largely empty save for the group, and it's definitely worth it. A serene song plays overhead while attendants give tours or explanations as needed. The variety of aquatic life is surprisingly vast as well, and spacious halls give way to plenty of opportunity to explore.
Come nightfall, certain rooms dim the lights but the tanks stay lit- or black lit as darker enclosures like the jellyfish hall and the octopus tanks remain- and only a few staff remain to keep an eye on things- so... stay on your best behavior. The two restaurants stay open- a regular fast food joint with kitschy island cabana theming, and a much more upscale lounge where Aerith plans on corralling the adults for fun this evening.
Once it's time for the age groups to split, Aerith will lead the adults to a pleasant lounge with more tanks, large couches or more private tables, and a view overlooking one of the main rooms of the aquarium- wave to the kids if they're there! Or don't. Bouquets of flowers are placed around the room, and it looks like Aerith has a few ideas already, though she won't stop anyone from going out to review the different sections again.
Contrasting Mafuyu, who is content to let the fellow teens do whatever- though if they do congregate, she's not really the social sort and will simply be content to enjoy the vibes. Even if you just want to take a nap somewhere, there's plenty of dark secluded areas to do so.

[Arms crossed and otherwise keeping a little bit of distance, she angles her upper body to get a peek at what she can see of his art. What kind of work are we putting out here, Rutile?
Her fingers twitch just slightly. What would she even draw at this point?]
Can you do people?
no subject
Well, your funeral. Peek over the threshold of the page and you see Rutile's art. Can you make out anything he's created? Good luck. ]
I can! [ Rutile, in contrast, is sunny and chipper as he usually is. He loves drawing people! ] I'm afraid I don't know many people here, so you'll have to describe them for me.

Kainé, who is encountering these artistic endeavors for the first time, just makes a noise akin to being struck in the solar plexus.
This might not work out the way she planned.]
Which ones are supposed to be people? [Blurted.]
no subject
Here, these ones! [ He points at three blobs on the page. ] This is Lennox, the local shepherd, and this is Doctor Figaro, the village doctor, and this is my little brother, Mitile!
[ They are all equally incomprehensible scribbles, except one is much bigger than the other two. ]

[It's the best she can do. The only thing that saves Kainé from being a complete blistering asshole about the wonky scribbles before her is the lingering memory of her own attempts at portraiture. It's hard not to recall the painstaking effort and care that went into her bungled work. She was just a kid then, but still.
Maybe she would still be just as dogshit if she kept at it.]
Let's see... I don't give a damn how people see me, so I don't need anyone drawing me. You choose.

[ Said lightly and airily... He's either very drunk or very ditzy.
He's not expecting a response, though. At Kainé's prompting he looks up, scans the crowd. ]
Got it! It'll be a surprise!
[ And he spends a few moments with his pen furiously flying across the paper before he produces...um, this. ]
I drew him! [ He gestures in the man's direction. ] Do you know him?
no subject
Now, it's time for the moment of truth as she looks at the rough drawing. It's certainly crude, but comparing the most obvious features of the stick figure, she can't help but make a small, surprised scoff.]
... Looks just like him, actually. [Kainé sounds dumbfounded by that. She never would have guessed there would be something recognizable in the scribbles.] Could use a smugger little face. Why don't you pass it along to him - as a gift?
no subject
Rutile beams when Kainé says it looks like him! Yay! He drew him well! ]
You know, that's a great idea. Like, a nice-to-meet-you gift! [ His quill hovers over the page again, ready to make the changes Kainé suggested. ] Do you think he'll like it?
no subject
[He really has no idea just how much has happened.
Kainé crosses her arms. It's not like she thinks Aaron will blow a gasket or anything; maybe he'll even be touched like some secret softie. But he'd seemed kind of vain, too, hadn't he? Either way...]
I think you'll get a pretty strong reaction.

[ He is enthusiastic. And expressive. Sometimes the way he acts is almost childish.
He's about to mark the page again, but he stops. ]
I think I should try and mirror that on the picture. What do you predict? I'll try and capture it.
no subject
[Well, shit. Isn't he the "artist" here? He can use his imagination.
With the slightly flee-ready tension of someone who's realized her idea might have been too rashly thrown out, Kainé leans to the side and looks sidelong in Aaron's direction, then averts her gaze again quickly.]
I dunno. Surprise, I guess? [That's about as far as she can or will consider it. It's also about as closely as she could say she knows him.]
no subject
Rutile leans in and adds a few touches. It doesn't take long, and Kainé can watch the process. A few quick and confident pen strokes here and there, and the way Rutile's drawn the surprised mouth probably doesn't help. ]
There! [ He grins at Kainé. ] Thank you for helping me! I'll give it to him when I manage to chat with him.
no subject
You know, my art kind of looked like this. [Recent circumstances pry this admission Kainé normally wouldn't make under pain of death - let alone from a stranger - more easily from her. It perturbs her, but at least no assholes can say she wasn't trying to "forge" shit.] The person I made it for said they liked it anyway.
