It's a normal morning for anyone who's managing to sleep a standard schedule- up until a mass text goes out, that is. Everyone will find the same thing from either Mafuyu or Aerith's username:
... Simple enough. And should you choose to attend, both your hostesses will be pleased to see you once it's time to head over.
As they said, the aquarium is largely empty save for the group, and it's definitely worth it. A serene song plays overhead while attendants give tours or explanations as needed. The variety of aquatic life is surprisingly vast as well, and spacious halls give way to plenty of opportunity to explore.
Come nightfall, certain rooms dim the lights but the tanks stay lit- or black lit as darker enclosures like the jellyfish hall and the octopus tanks remain- and only a few staff remain to keep an eye on things- so... stay on your best behavior. The two restaurants stay open- a regular fast food joint with kitschy island cabana theming, and a much more upscale lounge where Aerith plans on corralling the adults for fun this evening.
Once it's time for the age groups to split, Aerith will lead the adults to a pleasant lounge with more tanks, large couches or more private tables, and a view overlooking one of the main rooms of the aquarium- wave to the kids if they're there! Or don't. Bouquets of flowers are placed around the room, and it looks like Aerith has a few ideas already, though she won't stop anyone from going out to review the different sections again.
Contrasting Mafuyu, who is content to let the fellow teens do whatever- though if they do congregate, she's not really the social sort and will simply be content to enjoy the vibes. Even if you just want to take a nap somewhere, there's plenty of dark secluded areas to do so.

He saw Mafuyu's invitation and immediately agreed to come to the aquarium. It's his bleeding heart when a very sad, young girl such as Mafuyu asks him to do something, he does it. She could ask him to jump and he'd respond, "how high?" And though he's reluctant to admit it, he would probably kill on her behalf. (He's tenth in line.) (Probably--- as if he hasn't done it for Anzu!)
Now that he's here... He doesn't know where he belongs. Does he follow Aerith to the lounge? He is, by the standards of his culture, an adult man. He even stopped wearing the larger earrings that marked him a young boy-king a few months ago. His kohl far more elaborate, too. But, by modern standards, he's still relatively young: a teenager. However, if he includes the time he spent locked away half-conscious in the Millennium Puzzle then he's far, far older than everyone here! A great times thirty grandpa.
At this stalemate of decision of whether he's young or old enough, he stares at jellyfish bobbing away in their tank, and idly picks at his fingertips without the Millennium Puzzle to fidget with instead.
He sighs through his nose.]
You're lucky you can't conceptualize time.
[He mumbles to the jellyfish as if they could hear him.]
How long do you guys even live anyway? A few years at most?
[His temporal conundrum isn't his only problem being here... Except he's very, very keen on ignoring the dread burning in his stomach at how everything looks like they're underwater. They're not really in the abyss!! No one will cease to exist! Especially not him! He knows his name! And he has a body to go with it! Sure, they're not in the Black Lands so if he were to die at any time it'd definitely suck, but it's all a display! It's fine!! He's fine! Yeah!
Let's focus on where he should belong instead!!! Ahaha! That's a much easier existential dread!!!]

( she'd come to relax and watch some jellyfish, but. uh. ... is he okay?
(probably not. no one is for a little bit after the palaces, and his was especially harrowing.)
she leans around to see what tank he's observing before looking back over at him, hands folded behind her back. )
Is everything okay?

[Pulled from his thoughts, he turns his attention to Mafuyu, and schools his face into something far less burdened so he doesn't worry her. (Far too late for that... But let him believe.)]
Yes, everything's okay.
The jellyfish are quite pretty, aren't they? I never had a chance to look at them up close like this.

( she'll let him have his moment. for now. instead she walks over and watches one of the compass jellyfish slowly drift around.
this is the most relaxed she'sever been, she's pretty sure. )
They are. I love watching them, and seaweed... The way they drift is comforting, in a way, I think.

I like to watch them. What about you?

It depends on the kind. Most top out at 3 years, but there's some that life far longer. There's even one species that is theorized to be immortal, so long as they avoid predators.

You certainly know your stuff. Big jellyfish fan?

[He paid so much attention in school, this nerd.]
I guess it's a trade-off for not having any brains though. They live forever, but they're doomed to just float around in the ocean, hoping food will drift into their tentacles.

[Atem fidgets more with his shirt hem.]
I wonder what their Persona looks like. A larger version of themselves..?

[It makes him wonder what animals would though.]
You might have better luck with a dog, cat, or dolphin.

[He tilts his head up.]
They may not be as strong as ours because of their lack of self...
no subject
[He sounds doubtful, but he's not outright challenging Atem on this. He seems more passive today.]
no subject
[Atem is certain of it! No one can convince him otherwise... it's something that has been ingrained into him since he was a baby.]
If they didn't eat we wouldn't be here right now. We'd all be dead.

[He is describing how Ancient Egyptians normally depict ka.]

[He's not so sure jellyfish are that creative.]

[... In his mind, it's basic.]
