No, not really. Cooking oil was expensive even for a king... And I don't know how to make it myself.

It is pretty similar to one of my favorite foods, though. And it's probably the closest thing I can get here... In Egypt we didn't use chickpeas, since fava beans were more commonly grown. We call it "ta'ameya."
