Before I left the mountains, I think that it wouldn’t have been any different for me. Human or animal… life or death… it was all the same there. But now I really do understand how precious that sort of thing is.
[ there’s a pained look in his eyes, a conflict that he himself doesn’t really have the words to express. ]

if he had been alone, he’s not sure he could have done much of anything. it was thanks to haruka and mafuyu that they helped him get back on his feet, and the others who acted as an anchor for him. ]
