[Bittersweet, maybe, but... at least in what felt like a painful memory she had a friend.

Unfortunate that it fell to a friend to care for her in a time like that, but that sensation isn't... terribly unfamiliar, either. If there's one commonality, it seems like she had to grow up far too quickly, too.]
