How you conduct yourself towards the things you openly dislike is far from any concern of mine. I'd even commend it if it keeps you from being stressed in the long term.

Admittedly the one ghost I ever personally dealt with was a child who needed help finding her lost things at her old school before she could move on, but she is not the first I've seen.
