What a foolish sentiment to believe you can protect each other. He is the prime example of being able to protect no one.

[ Of course, the God of Conflict has to offer his unwanted two cents. Yoon's eyes are still yellow. It's why when Yona get hit by Celeste, Aubrey, Sunrise and Maika, it's Maika who gets hit by a flash of fast, blue lightning for medium Nuclear damage (14). (OOC: Hak is untargetable.) However, Sunrise, Celeste, and Maika's hits connect – the Princess is still a little frail, so she ends up falling onto the ground. ]

Yona-

[ Yoon calls out to her despite being healed. In the meantime, Atem, Aerith, and Haruka are afflicted with Rage. Richard is going the fuck to sleep. Mafuyu is Dizzy. Ai is hit with Forget.

No Preservation being cast again means (1st person in each line is the one afflicted):
- An attack from the Green Dragon on Fray diverts to Sayaka (18).
- An attack from the White Dragon that was meant to go to Ai goes to Aerith (14).
- An attack from the Yellow Dragon that was supposed to go to Arven goes to Schneider (14).
- An attack from the Blue Dragon that was supposed to go to Shalem misses, but he is still afflicted with the debuff.

Schneider can see that there seems to be something connecting them to him indeed - thin threads that are only visible to the naked eye if the light hits them a certain way, and if people are paying close attention. Since she is, she'll catch a glimpse of them.

Yoon's eyes turn blue again, and in a panic, he casts Media on Maika...and Yona. ]

[Schneider's eyes narrow thoughtfully but she doesn't get a chance to respond before she's smacked around. Ow. She staggers, hissing and she casts media on herself]

Vaffanculo. If you all keep attacking---that girl, those dragons, all of them--they're all connected to him by threads! Every single one! So keep attacking recklessly if you want to break the kid more.

[Schneider shouts, before runs towards Yoon. Can she touch those threads?]

[ As it was the White Dragon that hit her (for quite a lot of damage, given that she's been hit with Rage and attacks hit much harder than they would otherwise), that's who Aerith focuses her attack on. Only, she's so angry that she hobbles back up onto her own two feet and hits the White Dragon with her staff (14).

Somewhere deep down, Aerith probably knows this isn't the answer, yet right now? All she can feel is anger. ]

[ ...Ah. This gets Sunrise to lower her rifle. She doesn't want to hurt even these manifestations of Yoon's friends further when he's reacting like this. She catches Richard so he doesn't hit the ground thanks to the surprise nap, and for the second time since she's been in these Palaces, she calls out to the Shadow. ]

Mr. Yoon, please hold on. [ She doesn't know what to do about the threads Schneider mentioned - whether trying to cut the threads will at least stop the battle long enough that they can talk, or if it'll make things worse.

So instead she's taking a handful of the coins everyone collected during this whole journey, and then just tosses it onto the ground like this is some kind of bizarre ritual one might do at a temple (Cash Out). All these status effects left, right and center keep getting in the way, so fine. ]

He hears what Schneider has to say about the threads, but he's unfortunately caught up in utility duty to figure out what to do about them. He casts Media on Sayaka, Aeither and Schneider while giving out a round of Energy Shower to Atem, Aerith and Haruka.]

Yoon...I know you wanna protect your friends from home too, but they're just part of this palace and that jerk god is just using them against us! You gotta help us fight him off!

[ What a time to forget what's going on. There are dragons? And people fighting dragons? She should probably scramble for cover. While she's doing so she spies the girl who had fallen to the ground and stops to check on her, nevermind that the girl was hostile earlier. ]

[ Fuck, that lightning damage stings! Not her kind of lightning, apparently. Maika is still shaking her head, trying to process the sting followed quickly by the heal from Yoon, when she hears Schneider call out.

Literal puppeteering? Yeah, why the fuck not. Maika makes a swipe for the threads with her claws (5), more agitation than aim. Whoops. ]

Atem bites his tongue, hard, to prevent himself from summoning Re-Horahkty to attack Yoon and his friends. He does damage (8) to himself!]

[Since everyone's going for the threads, so will he because it does seem counterproductive to just keep beating them down when it's clear that Yoon is only getting more distressed at seeing them hurt. So here, a sword swipe (15) at the thread connecting Yoon to the White Dragon.]

[ Aerith aims for the White Dragon with raised defenses. The Blue Dragon is hit by Soujuurou. Some are cleansed by Arven, and then Sunrise casts Cash Out. Everyone in the entire party is clear of any debuffs, now, and can start fresh. Some people miss. Some people hit themselves.

However...several people aim for the threads. The threads sever. Ai will see Yona, the girl on the ground, begin to fade away...just like the others. The dragons fade. They disappear like Shadows usually do in the Nekyia.

Yoon looks at Schneider as his eyes flicker between blue and yellow again. It is an expression on him that she'd expect - guilty. He sees how people are talking back against the God of Conflict.

With his friends gone, Yoon himself grows stronger...but he does not attack.

He is open and vulnerable. The manifestations of his friends have disappeared, but he is not upset. He is struggling to get on his feet, and his hand presses against his forehead as he is seemingly trying to come back to his senses.

The God of Conflict is quiet. ]

[So they were shadows all along...Sayaka knew this, and even so, she feels sad. Yoon's friends, they were so important to him...and now it's just him left.

At least the God of Conflict shuts up, but Sayaka will make her way over to Yoon with a concerned expression.]

Yoon-san--Yoon-san, are you going to be alright?

[ Schneider closes the distance between the two ot them and shoves the bread into Yoon's hands]

[ She wonders a little, if this is the best thing coming from her, who acted without guilt and callous disregard for anyone not 'hers' ]

[ The silence from the God of Conflict is a concern that sits in the back of her mind, but Yoon's condition is much more important. She'll join the others already making their way to Yoon's side and casts a quick Diarama on him. ]
