[Fray kneels down beside them, lowering his voice to something almost approaching gentle.]

She's right, we're not here to hurt you. Hold still; I'll heal your injuries.

[And with that, he's going to try to cast a Diarama to help with those wounds.]

[ Healing does, indeed, seem to work here! This is a Palace, after all! The person being tended to will not have their wounds completely healed, but they are at least feeling better enough to have a chat with Fray and Aerith. ]

[ With a soft smile, she’ll cast Media, light healing for a good number of them. ]

Do you need some help walking?

[For those we have lost. For those we can yet save.]

I can carry you, if needed.

[But looking around at these poor people...]

[ And when Aerith does help them up, they will give her a small, thankful smile.

To Fray... ]

I-I was attacked by bandits a day or so ago. They took everything I had. There was a young boy who tried to take from me a few days ago as well, but that didn't hurt nearly as much. I know he lives here, too...

[ She isn't very strong, but she'll do what she can to support the ones who need it. ]

A young boy, huh? What'd he look like?

[Aerith asked the question he wanted to, so he's just going to continue hovering in case they need another hand. He has his suspicions, but...]

Short, apricot-colored hair...blue eyes.

[ ... ]

Are you going to hunt him down?

[gardenful]

[ Well doesn't that sound familiar! Aerith glances at Fray, figuring she'll let him handle this one. ]

[Boy, it sure does...]

We do intend to find him, but we aren't going to "hunt" him down. We want to make sure he won't hurt anyone else.

[His tone still isn't properly gentle, but it's not a harsh statement at all.]

[ They nod. ]

Thank you. He's not the only one who does it – others do because they have to, like he does. I've seen it happen quite a bit... I just happened to be unlucky.

[ In either case, though, you have gone out of your way to help. -- will remember this. ]

[ Unlucky, huh. She knows what that's like, so all she can do is offer a sympathetic smile. ]

Sometimes we have to do things we don't like doing to survive.

[ But they're at the shelter now, so she'll help them settle in. ]

[Her hand goes briefly to the rabbit hair clip she wears as the man reveals what they had all already guessed.]

...We'll find him and see what all this is about.

[The palace itself, that is, not that this man would know.]

We'll do what we can, for as many people as we can.

[It's a promise. Even if this is merely someone's palace, it's important to help people - like the palace owner himself, whenever we find him.]
