[What will Yoon see, indeed. Luckily for him, he's gone unnoticed because he is simply not doing anything interesting-- but perhaps he will find this interesting instead. He doesn't see the algae, no. In fact, he doesn't see the lighthouse at all, but the backalleys of a village of stone houses, all old and still quite nice despite their age. However, what's happening in these backalleys is anything but "nice", because he sees Jordi, completely normal and in his usual dark but old-fashioned coat, running away from something-- or someone. He looks behind him, and he sees a crowd of other villagers coming after him, anger and desperation all over their faces. Perhaps the most noteworthy of all, none of these villagers have scales or pointed ears like him, as they all have feathers growing in between their hair and tailfeathers peeking above their trousers. Bird people chasing a fish. Isn't that interesting? However, the lens of the spyglass cracks, and if Yoon doesn't drop it, he might just have glass shards poking him in the face.
Perhaps Yoon should consider himself fortunate to miss what shenanigans Lumen is pulling, in any case. He's found the body of another creature hanging from a support beam, closing his hand around a harpoon that's clearly been used to kill it. The weapon's been abandoned by its master, whoever they are, and now it's his, though he has some growing pains to figure out. It's clear he's still quite winded from the attack on him by three people at once just minutes ago, with the way he misses McGillis (4), Richard (3), Sunrise (10), and Haruka (1) with his very first swings with this weapon he's unfamiliar with.
He'll take his frustrations out on others, instead. He waves the harpoon like a staff instead, sending Forget at Aaron (who doesn't even do anything to the algae, either), and Despair at Celeste (whose attempts at handling the algae are, again, futile like the attempts of everyone else before him). They'll give him enough time to breathe, and handle two of the many angry teens, one of whom surprises him because Lumen had written him off previously as not noteworthy. Still, it's not as if he's going easy on them, whacking Soujuurou around the head with the shaft of his harpoon in retaliation (19) and hitting Arven with a particularly powerful Bless spell (20).
But before he can capitalize on those advantages against the two biggest thorns in his side thus far, and the two new ones that have popped up, the third one appears to hinder him. Fray's efforts definitely do a number on him, especially when he misses his retaliation strike on Fray yet again (5), rattling him enough that he really does need to stay back and heal. So he does, taking a moment to cast the strongest healing spells he knows on himself-- which means the last few, Sayaka, Argenti, and Joshua, get completely ignored. Safety first!
But he certainly has his eyes on Soujuurou. He's angry, and it's clear who his next target is when he's recuperated.
Meanwhile, the algae is very, very close to the lantern and its enclosure, and the storm outside has begun to produce thunder loud enough to shake the floor on occasion.]
[ Yoon sees this - all of this. Jordi's past, a crowd of bird-like people chasing him down. He's lucky enough to drop it in time before it shatters. ]
I-I saw something!
[ He yells his findings hurriedly, to Sayaka and Aaron in particular but anyone can hear this: ]
Jordi, being chased by people with feathers, out of a village! All of this - in the algae!
[ He clicks his teeth as he gets back onto his feet and casts Media on Soujuurou. He's getting tired, weary...but this algae is making him mad.
He casts his special ability, Dragon's Claw, in which his rolling pin morphs into just that. It takes form on his arm, and he swings at the patch of algae near him for light Nuclear damage. ]
The hell? Doesn't seem like it's all that relevant to the algae.
[Uhhhh hm. He's not sure what to make of this information, honestly. The most they can do is maybe try to rattle Jordi with it, but given how well ('well') the attempts at talking to him have gone, it doesn't seem like it'd be too effective.

[Sayaka pauses a bit, looking to the spyglass in her skirt pocket. No I don't care that it barely looks like it could hold anything THERE IS NOWHERE ELSE FOR POCKETS ON THIS GIRL.]

[ Argenti is feeling the Despair clear from his head for once, and it does him some real good. Before, he believes he had been hesitating, yet when he felt the drag of that emotional tugging his limbs to the ground, where his motivation left him, and he had to recover, directing a defiant gaze at the man even if he felt no energy behind it, he was reminded of the determination sleeping within.
This isn't like then. To him, Jordi is still a dear friend, regardless of what happened, regardless of the difficulties between them that make it difficult to say whether that bond is still viable.
But he will not stop until he's saved him. Until... ]

[ Argenti will leap, high above, even in the face of Jordi's brewing, calamitous indignation, pulling back one metal fist, and aim to collide it to the other man's face as hard as he can manage (12) ]
[The Bless attack sends Arven flying back, dangerously close to the algae, and he crumples to the ground for a moment. Ow, his body... He's getting tired, but he has no choice but to use Diarama on himself.
As Arven tries to get back to his feet, Mabosstiff stands guard in front of him, snarling at Lumen for what he's done.]
[THIS IS A LOT but given that she's woken up and is already aiming a Dia at Arven (one good turn deserves another!), she plucks the spyglass out and looks to it when Yoon speaks. She's not sure what she's gonna find, but...it's worth a shot.

[While he had been in the process of getting back up to his feet to ready another attack, the Despair hits him hard, sapping the energy he'd been putting into the action and causing him to collapse back onto the ground. He's not even all that primed to dodge anything that might come next, at this point.]
[ that hit hurts. but for someone who was raised and trained for combat, pulling himself back up takes little effort, and he's able to put himself in the exact same position that he was in before he was about to attack.
he can recognize the eyes on him, sharp like a wild dog that's prepared to strike at its prey. in comparison, soujuurou feels little more than a rabbit, struggling against what might seem inevitable. his head is pounding, his muscles are sore, and yet, he doesn't even seem to waver in his stance as he faces down lumen with the same intensity that he's being given. ]

[ it doesn't matter to soujuurou if jordi can change his name or form. a name is a title that can be given and taken from an identity, and people's features change all the time. if he is many, then lumen and jordi are ultimately the same person to him, and that's what matters. ] They act irrationally all the time and for no reason.
[ it's no good. he knows that he has nothing good to say, nothing that could snap him out of whatever despair he's sunk himself into. but maybe if he irritates lumen enough, then he'll simply focus his rage on soujuurou and leave the others alone. that would be fine with him. ]

[ and with that, he breathes, takes a large step to close the distance between them, and throws another open palmed punch at lumen's chest (20), putting in as much force as he can without breaking his own bones in the process. ]
[Honestly, this is getting exhausting. Richard would much rather be attacking than healing or cleansing people, but given that a good number of the group is currently affected by something or other, he knows the logical thing is to try to deal with that first so they don't become any more hindered than they already are.
[ at this point being ignored by lumen is the way to go especially since those attacks are hitting really hard. joshua's brain is still kind of sludgy from the confuse but he's still lucid enough to know that bad shit's about to go down from the algae advancing, and the ominous loud thunder in the background isn't helping anything!!

so, since combat spells have done jack shit as this point and damaging the floor further is. hm, at this point (he is contemplating it, though): ] Can we hit those annoying glowing plants with anything to stop it from advancing since literally nothing we have on hand works? [For once the dice favor Fray... In fact, they favor him so much that his next hit - another heavy sword strike, this time aiming at Lumen's arm with the weapon - should be successful again (13)! Shocking! Wait no, this one didn't have electric damage attached to it, it's just your regular old sword strike with a sword bigger than Fray is. Surely it'll be fine.]
[ Sunrise's head has cleared up thanks to Richard. She moves to reposition herself further from the algae (which, by this point, means she's pressing herself closer to the wall).
She aims with her rifle and uses Here Comes the Sun (14), aiming to hit Lumen's arm in hopes it'll get him to drop the harpoon. ]
[Wow, everything sucks! He ends up dazed for a moment as he's hit by that Forget ailment, briefly struggling to remember what he's doing here. However, he sees enough people attacking Jordi that he'll trust that they're all ganging up on him for good reason, so here's another swipe with one of his swords (9). Too bad he misses!!]
