Normally she would get right in on the battle action, but she sees the algae spreading and instantly she decides that no, she has to stop this before they're all surrounded by algae. She hurries to the middle row where the algae has spread the furthest and takes aim at the floor with her rifle.
If anyone was expecting it to do normal gun things and shoot bullets, they'd be surprised to see the stream of flame that pours out instead. ]
