Good evening, everyone. I've a few questions I'd like to hear your answers for, if you'd be so kind as to answer them.
What would you consider to be the "truth" of the world you come from?
Whether it be the truth of the universe or simply honesty from your loved ones, how important is the truth to you? (I've no interest in whether you've deceived others or not, as putting value in truth does not prevent lies from happening at all. It's an interesting hypocrisy that comes with flesh and bone.)
Lastly... how far would you go to find out the truth, knowing the truth may be devastating? Would you sacrifice comfort and the status quo just to know?
[these questions definitely do not have anything to do with the weird eldritch cult he's in, don't worry about it.
anyways enjoy being honest about your answers!!]

cw drug rehab mention
[Normally heād leave it at that, but unfortunately somebody is feeling a little too honest. Thanks Braphine.]
This guy at a rehab center I was in said self-acceptance is the only way to really change. So itās like
Truthās truth even when it fucking sucks
Iāll still be a bad guy even if I hated myself.

Oh
[Right, itās Mountain man who doesnāt know slang.]
Dont worry man
Bitch aināt gendered anymore
anybody can be a bitch
And women rock, yo. For real.
no subject
What progress!
Wait, but life's not a person. How does that work?
no subject
I guess itās that literature thing where you talk about a non person thingy like itās a person
Like life sucks and makes things harder for you, so itās kinda like a bitch
no subject
So... 'by making it your bitch', do you mean that you're overcoming difficult times?
no subject
Bingo! You get it, mountain man.
Oh but also if somebody comes up to you and says "yo, that's a bitchin' looking car!" that's a compliment
Lotta evolutions of bitch
no subject
But that's not a bad thing.
So let me try...
You look very bitchin' today.
no subject
Hell yeah same to ya man
no subject
[ new word learned: bitching! ]
Did you ever manage it though? To make life your... um... bitch?
no subject
Gonna be real Iāve had a hot streak of BEING the bitch lately.
Been working on a comeback but easier said than done
no subject
But don't be discouraged. Life wouldn't be life if it wasn't super complicated. It's probably like trying to wrangle a bear on an empty stomach. Not impossible, but definitely not easy.
no subject
[It's philosophically sound.]
Hold up you guys wrangle bears in the mountains yo???
no subject
no subject
how many wild animals do you square up with on a daily basis over there?
Wait what kinda martial arts do they teach you for bear fighting
no subject
But since we were young, we were always being taught about how animals moved and how we moved in comparison⦠things like that.
I didnāt face them daily, but often⦠bears⦠foxes⦠and wild dogs are the worst. I almost died to them, once. Iām really lucky to have lived.
no subject
You're like
Seriously hardcore, man
no subject
Really?
I don't know, I guess to me it's average. But I imagine that for someone from the city, it must seem like the total opposite.
To me, though, you guys are the ones that are amazing.
no subject
He's uh. Guy I've been working with
[He's the one who's amazing, though? For some reason, that makes Jesse feel kind of dishonest.]
Ain't fully sure about that one. Not even fishin or whatever just keeping it real
no subject
[He's not even being sarcastic, either. He doesn't really know anyone like Jesse since most of his associates are...
A different kind of strange. Let's go with that.]
So, do you find it easy to accept the truth? Or was it a hard pill to swallow?
[He's not going to comment on whether or not Jesse is a bad person, because he's caught on that a lot of people here seem to think that? All thanks to Izou being a miserable drunk...]
no subject
you donāt get to be a bad guy for no reason
Itās because you make life suck for people
@aegirintraining
The truth is important, of course, but the "truth of the world"? I haven't given it that much thought.
no subject
Not to say lack of curiosity or knowledge is a worse thing, of course, but many men would and have been tempted by such a thing.
no subject
no subject
Usually that just means secrets kept to maintain the status quo.
no subject
However, in that circumstance, I know that it's impossible to attempt, not because it's dangerous, but because I am weak.
no subject
[jeno you can't just SAY THAT]
What would you say makes you too weak to pursue the truth?
[He knows being a "weak person" isn't always about things like physical strength, after all.]
no subject
There's nothing I can do against nature, and something that lurks in it.
@shizukisoujuurou
By the way, I'm coming back from my shift, do you want anything from the convenience store?
no subject
And I'll take a black coffee, thank you.
[Convenience store coffee... sometimes your standards are forced to be low.]

Then how do you deal with things that can't be solved with violence?
no subject
Die a miserable death, clearly.
no subject
And it's important because it defines my entire career at home; if I don't live by that truth, I'll be forgotten and tossed aside, even if I'm good at my work.
It's...not a very kind way of looking at it, but it's not like I have anything else to go back to.
@manslayer
Things're either true or they're a lie, ain't they?
