[ With the regression of the city, working at Sunset Theater has quickly become less enjoyable than it used to be. Though the cast remembers the rapport McGillis had built with them, even if they're more standoffish now. And it's not as though McGillis had placed much stock in his interpersonal relationships to the random citizens, but... the shift in atmosphere serves as a tangible reminder. That this is temporary. That this world is susceptible to insane levels of mind manipulation. That he wants to leave.
Leave and... do what? That's the question that has haunted McGillis for weeks now, and the countdown is mercilessly continuing. Soon Braphine will release them from her hold, one way or another. Soon, he'll have to know. And so will everyone else. ]
Just a little over two weeks until we're free from this, if Braphine really keeps her word and the God of Conflict doesn't swallow up all her power. Until then we'll doubtlessly face a number of additional challenges and hassles, but while we're still in the quiet before the storm...
Are you going home to your own worlds after this? Or will you take Braphine up on her offer and come along with one of your 'bonds'? What is your world like? What is making you return? What is making you abandon it?
And if you're like me and cannot return to where you came from no matter what, maybe the answers can give you some perspective.

Dearest Fray has already answered for me, but I shall be accompanying him to Eorzea. To be frank, I have not much interest in returning at this time. Perhaps because no homeworld is what bound me, and the other reason...I am certain you can imagine it.
Still, whichever you end up deciding in the end, I do imagine it should be something that resonates with you. Or of course with one of your beloved ones. It is just a feeling.
But one nonetheless that shall grow as such displays of beautiful sentiments are clear as ever.

Yes, I can imagine it very well - and quite honestly, I am relieved you have decided against returning. Your Path has made you radiant, but it's also been holding you back. I believe it's time for you to graduate from adhering solely to that one metric of living your life.
As for myself... I'm going with Izou. My idle musing prompted an overdue conversation about the matter. His world is at threat of apocalypse, so I'll be able to make myself plenty useful.

It's completely and utterly beautiful. ]
Yes, the way I had been following it had not allowed me a semblance of truly embracing all that I am in earnest. I appreciate kindly your support in all of this!
I do recall having spoken to him about his world before - indeed, if there is something about constant danger and settling difficult situations, that does truly sound like it would resonate with your soul.
I'm certain Izou shall also dearly appreciate your presence. You have often proven yourself to be a reliable person who is a force of nature in the face of copious threats. Not to mention, it is clear it is his wish for you to accompany him so.
Though, it is my hope that contact will remain open in some manner so that you both still can reach out to your other dear ones.
