[ With the regression of the city, working at Sunset Theater has quickly become less enjoyable than it used to be. Though the cast remembers the rapport McGillis had built with them, even if they're more standoffish now. And it's not as though McGillis had placed much stock in his interpersonal relationships to the random citizens, but... the shift in atmosphere serves as a tangible reminder. That this is temporary. That this world is susceptible to insane levels of mind manipulation. That he wants to leave.

Leave and... do what? That's the question that has haunted McGillis for weeks now, and the countdown is mercilessly continuing. Soon Braphine will release them from her hold, one way or another. Soon, he'll have to know. And so will everyone else. ]

Just a little over two weeks until we're free from this, if Braphine really keeps her word and the God of Conflict doesn't swallow up all her power. Until then we'll doubtlessly face a number of additional challenges and hassles, but while we're still in the quiet before the storm...

Are you going home to your own worlds after this? Or will you take Braphine up on her offer and come along with one of your 'bonds'? What is your world like? What is making you return? What is making you abandon it?

And if you're like me and cannot return to where you came from no matter what, maybe the answers can give you some perspective.

im from another earth like lots of other folks are its 2038 and im in whats left of sydney australia have been for maybe a year and some change since we took back most of it??/ i dont think i can suggest ppl come to my world for good unless theyre rly sure planet got invaded by demons from another plane of existince back in 2018 went 2 shit from there its like an ongoing war we r turning the tide and all where im at at least so i mean if u need to vanish or need 2 go somewhere that dont need ID or nothing it would b good for that but its dangerous and resources are still limited right now i mean of course im going back since mom is there..... and i dont want to just give up

It's admittedly amusing to me that you're from the exact piece of land that was completely wiped off the map in the Calamity War in my world.

Yours is a world in which a lot needs to get done, and as you know... I like to keep busy and I have plenty of military and governmental experience.

While I'd say that most of not all of the spirits can advocate for themselves and their own needs, I understand your concern and I'll certainly be prioritizing research.

As much as every detail Izou has ever given me has caused me a massive headache, I do look forward to conversing with people about their own times.
