ARCANA FORECAST

NEW APP INCOMING...

On Saturday, everyone's phones will receive a new notification: A brand new app has been installed onto your phones. This app is called the Arcana Forecast! Whatever that means! Only one way to find out, though.

Upon opening the app, you will see an obnoxiously pink screen pop up with a message:

INTRODUCING…YOUR ARCANA!

The next screen will display exactly that. Maybe you're The Tower, The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune – whatever it is, you have apparently been government (?) assigned one. Nothing really explains what this assignment says about you, but tapping on the next screen brings you to a page that has a few bullet points:


• The Magician: An idea that you may have, big or small, may not work out like you intended. The direction the execution takes may either be beneficial or worse than what you imagined. Use this as an opportunity to learn and innovate.
  
  
• The Fool: Being carefree comes with its perks, but be careful: You may find a moment of inattentiveness that leads to something bad, like walking into a pole, tripping over a sidewalk, getting your wallet stolen… Being caught off-guard isn't always a bad thing, but in this case, you may want to stay extra vigilant.
  
  
• The Emperor: A fall from grace doesn't always have to be a bad thing. Maybe you were in over your head, overestimated your capabilities, or tried something new that you realized you weren't good at. Never fear, because for all that you may stumble, you'll find your footing again, even if it means you might have to work your way back to your throne.
  
  
• The Hierophant: Contrary to other forecasts, you may need to seek safety in what you already know. Doubting yourself may lead to insecurity or uncertainty; to accomplish one of your goals, you must confide in tradition, or use a method that has been proven to be trustworthy.
  
  
• The Star: Have you been dealing with some self-doubt, negativity, poor self-image…? Or perhaps you are uncertain that you have gone down the right path? Whatever the case may be, this is a reminder to have faith in yourself and your decisions. Your values may come into question sometime soon and put your belief to the ultimate test.


An important thing of note is that these forecasts apply from 9/7 to 9/20. Weird that the dates are so specific…

What's also strange is that if your characters fall into any one of these arcanas, they may find some of these predictions and warnings coming true for them in the coming days...

Everyone knows their Arcana IC-ly now! Please feel free to use this post as a forum discussion board on the network and spiderman point at each other and debate suitability etc. etc.

Feel free to also use these forecast as prompts for your Week 6 and 7 threads - players can decide how much they want to play with them (or if they want to even play with them at all). Have fun!
