A MILDLY LATE ANNIVERSARY PARTY
a little over a year has passed since the end of link up! and it's time to celebrate, reconnect and renew the bonds we made, and certain avatars are long overdue for a check-in. all former players are welcome!
Anyone and everyone who'd been involved with the divine mission has presumably kept their phone- and if they haven't, they know someone who has. It's easy enough to stay in touch... or to get a sudden message, though in the immediate buzz it's easy to forget who sent it out exactly...
It's already been a year since the final battle. We should meet up at Braphine's world and reconnect. The old dorms should still be there, right? Maybe after the holidays?
... And, well, word travels, doesn't it? And so do world-hoppers. It's only a matter of time, really.
The winter snow settled over Sunset City, and everything is as it should be. People bond, and people bicker. The Gods rule and listen, and even a year later- more than that, really- your hard work still shows through.
The dorms are clean, with party decor on the walls and streamers on the ceiling. It's rather cute! Not unlike the arrival so long ago, large paper is spread out to draw on, and there's also drinks and snacks and so much pizza and takeout. Like, so much. Who's even paying for all of this... Unfortunately the outdoor anemities aren't as usable at the moment, but Sunrise's forge remains, as do some old training dummies, for old time's sake. ... The snow really is deep, though-
Regardless, Braphine's chosen are always welcome here, and especially today. And as more come in, things start to liven up and chatter soon fills the air. As does yelling. I know you people.
The city once housed you all for months. It gave you turmoil just as much as it gave you a home. It was at it's lowest and by your hand it reached it's highest once again. And many had friends outide of the chosen, work friends and acquaintances and regular encounters in the day to day of life. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to say hello while you're here. Or maybe you just want to find that old restaurant you loved again.
Maybe you even want to visit Braphine at the temple herself.
Regardless, there's a sense of peace in the city. Maybe you don't want to see this place again. And maybe it feels just right, in a way. It kind of makes certain souls want to explore. ... Besides, the arcade's open late.
There's so little and so much to do at the same time. Why not tour the universes you didn't claim as your home? Or maybe there's some what-ifs that never got to be? It's always fun to think about.

Why is everything so fucking cold?!
[ Eli... has not encountered a real winter before. Rest in pieces, doggy. Or more like, rest in shivering? Well, whichever, he's immediately retreated indoors after trying to step outside into the cold, winter wind. In theory, he knows what snow is, but he's also still Eli, who manages to get too mad about something to think it through like a normal person.
He stomps snow off his boots and points out the door. ]
Is the city under attack again?! By some... ice demon or some shit?!

mafuyu appears with her hair in a short, fluffy bob and a pair of thin purple glasses on her face- different from the last time they saw each other even with frequent visits, but just as light as she's been since finding her place in paldea. she smiles softly but warmly. )
It's just regular snow. We weren't here long enough to experience a full winter. I'd like to think Mina, at least, would be more up front about it if it were anything else.

[ He knows that much, at least. It was still something they would celebrate when they could at home, in his own world. Eli scowls at the snow outside one last time before turning to look at Mafuyu again, idly reaching up to rub the back of his neck.
Maybe it was a little dumb to get so worked up about snow, but... ]
Light displays sound wasteful to me, but I guess they'd be fine here.
